Best Sandwich….

Now, if you can lower yourself to entering a chain joint, hit up a Capriotti's. The Bobby is probably the tastiest sandwich served in a chain restaurant. Slow roasted, shredded white meat turkey, cranberry sauce, and Thanksgiving stuffing with mayo on a white bread sub. If only they'd add mashed taters and gravy, you'd have the whole holiday meal, minus the pumpkin pie.
We have a Capriotti's here. They make really good sandwiches. FUCK the chain haters, some of them are really good. I've been in some "mom & pop" places that completely SUCK ASS.

While working in Tampa coworker drove out to some hole in the wall Cuban restaurant for lunch. Menu hand written on the wall. I see Italian and order that. Older lady who took my order just says ok and walks out back. Younger lady comes over and says "sir, thats probably not what you're thinking, its like a Cuban but made with Italian meat, and has..." I go thats fine, sounds good!

Out comes this sandwich on a paper plate that I couldn't get into my face fast enough. It was so fuckin good.

Next day we went the same place and the younger lady came and apologized because the older woman had put the hot sauce on the sandwich. I said that was the best sandwich I've even had I'd like another. Apparently they didn't expect pasty white gringo to like hot :grinpimp:

I CANNOT find anything reasonable close in NH and it kills me

That has to be the driest sandwich in existence. Some EVOO and Vinegar at least.
Also, to hell with putting Balsamic on the bread. How am I supposed to eat it without wiping it off first?
You pick it up and shove it in your face. :flipoff2:

Smoked cheddar on sourdough, use mayo, not butter...nom, nom!

Made this rhe other day :smokin:

Asking about a "best sandwich" is like asking about "best tits." Every one I've held ended up in my mouth. Some I wanted to have again, and I wasn't mad about the ones I didn't.

Just to play along, at home it's BLT's when the garden is in or homemade pastrami on rye. Out, there have been so many over the years I can't even remember. Where I live now, Jersey Mikes and Publix are the best options. Not much to brag about with those.

Mom used to take us little shits to the beach (lake) from time to time. She always packed fried egg sandwiches on white bread with mayo. I was 18 years old before I learned fried egg sandwiches weren't supposed to have sand in them.

Home made Panini cooked up in my Panini/waffle/grill cheese/ cooker thing.

Turkey
Salami
Black olives
Banana pepper
Pickle
Cheddar
Mixed Lettuce
Italian dressing

Store bought: The BLT at Stick Boy bakery in Boone NC. Followed closely by the build you own BLT at Merritt's Grille in Chapel Hill NC. Literally as much bacon as you wish.
Home made: Grilled cheese consisting of jalopeno cheddar bakery bread, marscapone cream cheese, bacon, roasted poblanos and pesto

I can’t think of a single thing I eat because it’s “healthy”.

I enjoy eating some things that happen to be healthy or more healthy than something else (white bread vs wheat bread) but I eat wheat bread with that particular sandwich because I like it.

ETA: because I forgot.

I heard wayalife is doing a group buy on gallon jugs of Miracle Whip, thats where your taste buds belong.

Miracle whip and spicy brown mustard on pretty much every sammich. :flipoff2::smokin:

Darby Dans in South SF …. The sleeper or the crab

Dutch Crunch bread for the WIN!!!

Mr pickles just opened in the phoenix area and they have Dutch crunch…. But there are no great chain restaurants :flipoff2:
The Sandwich Spot on E Glendale has Dutch Crunch bread too. And the boss was telling me last week about how Mr. Pickles, Ike's, and Sandwich Spot were all founded by guys who used to be partners. I just finished half of their Snake Bite Sandwich. Roast beef, BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheese. Damn that thing is good.

I can tell that none of you have ever been to Buffalo, NY because if you had, you wouldn't be talking about all this Jewish Rye and corned beef.

You'd be singing the praises of the Beef on 'Weck, available at Charlie the Butcher, about twelve hundred local sandwich shops, and probably even at Top's Grocery.

Slow roasted roast beef, sliced thin and piled high on a Kimmelweck roll (think Kaiser roll with Kosher salt and caraway seeds embedded in the top of the bun), a nice layer of horseradish, with an au just cup to dip it in.

GTFO of here with those lesser sandwiches.

More like Beef on Retch, Buffalo cant even do good wings. Yes even the Anchors Bars supposedly original wings are greasy crap. Everything Ive ever eaten in Buffalo has been an overhyped over done rendition of crap. From their chicken tenders, to garbage plates its all crap. Hell even Syracuse's "local food" salt potatos are better than Buffalo's swill. Yes before you ask, they are just potatoes cooked in salt water brine. It is thee height of cuisine in Central NY.

Any sandwich from Kazansky's in Pittsburgh was awesome.

Best sandwich is a mexican sandwich (tacos, meat in bread its a sandwich) from the taqueria on 495 in Donna TX.

Oh and shrimp po'boys at about a half dozen places in Charleston.
