I have grab bags for the range. Just toss mags and ammo in a bag and roll out. Drop carry mags on the console.


I also don't shoot my carry guns nearly as often as my gamer guns. Big heavy guns with optics are way more fun as range toys. :flipoff2::smokin:

I'd carry one everyday too if I had one, sadly we still got like 'NFA' stuff going on yet and I'm the sort of pussy that avoids prison
fuck 9mm, 22lr in the eyeball is plenty
 
The experts say practice with what you carry. That’s what I want to do.

As far as HP vs FMJ, there are arguments for both. In my opinion, the arguments for FMJ win out.

I get running 500-1k rounds of hp's through your stuff, just to know for a fact that there wont be any issues. Other n that its just farting money away for practice ammo

why?

Over penetration and wound cavity are boomer myths :flipoff2:

Rounds down range and any impact is what is needed. The vast majority of people stop after they've been hit once, anybody who continues after that doesn't care about wound cavity. Just keep going

I don't get the fmj carry aversion
 
flat meplat makes stuff penetrate deeper
doesn't tumble as much as a round one

Let me clarify, money is not the issue. I’ve done research and determined I’m going to carry FMJ.
 
Just a Hole punch at that point. Round nose just kinda slips on through

Yes and no. I have seen ballistic gell after the bullet has passed through other material and it’s not near as impressive. You don’t know what you are going to have to shoot through. Like Providence says “getting a hit on them first is the most important thing”. This has been proved out with statistics.

And I have a Remington 1100 12ga alternating slugs and 00Buckshot for my nightstand gun.
You just never know what you’re going to have to shoot through. lol

But if we’re gonna rest our laurels on statistics, most shootings occur in 15 feet or less.

Cops have [should] a different set of concerns from the average person. DoD runs cheap bullets and still kill plenty of people.

Both of those groups are looking for a gun fight though, most people who carry a gun are not looking to use it. If you are in a stress situation and waylaying rounds you are far more likely to strike somebody due to missing your target completely rather than over penetrate or richochette. Just my thoughts, probably overly heavily influenced by the DoD

It’s called, because you can, and it’s fun.

shooting through a wall threw a closet full of clothes, cabinets, walls, double layer of drywall, wood paneling can stop buckshot, but the slug goes through everything.
That stuff can stop a EDC 9mm fmj

I don’t have any neighbors close by, should a slug should get out of the house. I should be good as long as i don’t hit the dog that would be very bad.

There are more choices around too,
