What's new

Approximate value?

Killer COE's and 1 tons on FB.

As mentioned. depending on rust, title and location that could be $5k truck easily.

If you are interested in taking $500 for it I'll come get it and you all can continue making fun of me for the next 20 years while I maybe eventually finish it. :flipoff2:

Nope. Just an honest seller not looking to gouge people.

He can and is free to charge what ever he wants.

When you see people posting shit like that for $4500 you know whats up.

Its not some rare 1off truck that theres only 5 left in the world. Its sitting rotting in a field because its so valuable.

Some people make a living flipping shit they got for a couple hundred for a few thousand. If you cant tell the difference youve got more money than you know what to do with.

That's the definition of how businesses make money (ok they usually don't get that high of a markup, but still) Nobody is forcing anyone to pay that sort of scratch. It's not something you can't live without either.

Sure I'd love to build a COE with a flatbed tow truck bed on it to drag more useless crap home with, but I don't really want to pay that much either. Supply and demand at work.

A fellow stopped by the yard the other day and asked if this was for sale. I’m not actively selling it, but not opposed to off loading it.

I have no idea what it’s worth. Early 50s COE, body is pretty straight, interior so-so, not running but complete.

Any idea on it’s worth?

Thanks

is that a big ass doe in the background? Just paused to look at you take that picture?

yep thats one of the desirable COE's

completely built they go for $30k-$80k depending on motor and shinyness

the way that one is, you couldnt give it to me

Sounds like you should at least look at FB for some sound ideas. No reason to leave potentially 2-3K on the table. FWIW I wouldn't join FB just for that sale. All your info, face pics diigtized and analyzed etc are scooped up for sale or use .. . . by others.

she isnt that big...

we get a lot of wildlife hanging out at the office. its a pretty safe place, lots of trees/cars/trucks to provide shelter, sometimes they even sleep behind my drill rigs in the rig barn. plenty of good food and water, I put salt blocks out for them too.

You should hook me up with the grand waggy, shouldnt take much to make it run again, ehh?

I have long range plans for the waggys.... but which one are you interested in, in case i change my plans

Did someone say drill rigs? Pics?

nothing fancy, just rigs for geotechnical sampling. A CME 55 on an old IH Loadstar and a CME 45 on a Bombardier track rig, and a bunch of parts rigs

Whoa, way close! Do you know Jim Noland? He’s got a bunch of old trucks he runs around Montrose in, one of which is a COE that vintage with the stock flathead V8. You might see it frequently at the Starvin Arvin’s parking lot for breakfast.

Does he also drive a big rig?

Yes, he’s in his 80’s and still working. Drives a kenworth logging truck for spending money.

awesome. I dont know him, but I have a friend who knows him through log trucking.

Your original picture isn’t real clear but I’ve seen those sell for $2,500 bucks in similar condition on that killer COE’s and 1 tons page on Facebook. If you listed that for sale on that page you’d have 10 offers in an hour. I have a 41 I’ll probably never get to either.
