You just complained about people being uneducated in the same thread. Not many countries out there that don't compel their population to put their kids in school. The ones that don't aren't exactly economic powerhouses...

What benefits? The indoctrination centers don't teach shit after about 5th grade other than how to behave for the .gov masters.

A secured border is 100% required of any sovereign nation, I'll gladly pay for that along with the other powers enumerated in the Constitution but the fluff can fuck off.

If you have kids you pay for schools and related bullshit until they are legal adults or emancipated minors.

If we really want to pay for such things of our own free will let's make the donations 100% tax deductable so there is incentive.

Even those who fall through the cracks and generally read and do basic math, which is better than if they didnt go to school at all. Yes, the school system needs fixing. No, cutting all government funding to it is not the way to go.

You want you minimum wage workforce to be able to read, write, and do basic math at a minimum. If I have to explain why that's important for a thriving country, then we might as well stop the discussion right here, but I suspect you know why. Make school optional and 100% private and you will have a growing number of kids with not even a 5th grade education. Bhutan, Papa New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands are the only countries in the world that don't have compulsory educations laws. All of them have a worse literacy rate than the US.

My priority is an educated population. Your priority is border security. They're both necessary. We should pay for those things, whether we live on the border, have kids, etc.

Saying who your not voting for while continually dodging the question of who you ARE voting for would probably lead people to the conclusion that you fled California to dilute the vote in Idaho by voting for some shit 3rd party that never stood a chance. Effectively meaning you did, in fact, vote for Kamala.

Idaho isn't a battle ground state. In 2020 it went red with over 60% of the vote for Trump. You guys should stop worrying about who he voted for president and focus on other things down the ballot.

...not that he has to tell you anything in the first place. Personally I think people worrying about who other people on this board voted for should fawk off and mind their own business.

one is more necessary than the other, because one DIRECTLY affects the other. Are schools overcrowded because illegal immigrants and their kids are in their schools taking valuable resources that could be spend boosting the math/reading of the public that pays taxes for those schools? YES.

you have to get one undercontrol FIRST, then the second can be dealt with but the problem is teachers only want to say the solution is they need more money. school budgets have ONLY increased since the late 70's and proficiency has gone way down.

Its not a funding problem, it may not even be an education problem. its a cultural problem

No I do NOT want a minimum wage population anything. The minimum wage is a decent part of the problem. Take away people's ability to survive while producing nothing without basic education and things will change in a reasonable amount of time. The least useful of the population currently can live their whole useless life without education in anything but grifting and victimhood.

I have made this point before with both drugs and abortion. It goes 180 degrees against my libertarian belief system, but i think it would work.

All drugs fully legal AND the harder ones subsidized by the government. You should be able to walk into Walgreens with ID showing you're 21 and by a 5lb sack of heroin, meth, cocaine etc. for $20 or less. Weed, shrooms, moly, whatever... let the market decide the price. Anyone receiving narcan for an overdose gets a "N" tattooed on their forehead and only gets one. OD again and the emt sees the N, ah shucks nothing we can do here fellas let's make him comfortable.

Abortion- 100% free for anyone over age 18, fully paid for by tax dollars. At the time of #2, forced tube tying. Any man over 18 can get free vasectomy at any time, paid for with our tax dollars.

On paper your idea sounds good. But it has risks. It's assuming the government won't abuse their new found power of tattooing Ns on people.

Oh the risks are way bigger than that. :laughing:

The first 5 years of my drug plan are gonna be absolute hell on earth. After that, we'll wind up with a fraction of a fraction of drug addiction in this country.

the problem will also be though they will be putting drugs in everything. everything. every fast food restaurant, the drinking water if they can, etc.

a lot of kids with good parents will die.

i get the sentiment. but i still dont think it will end up the way you think it will. there's people in SF who build a tolerance to an overdose and can take 10 times what would kill you or me. i think you would just create a larger underclass of hardcore drug users and kill off a lot of unintentional users and first timers.

While I should care more because addiction can be something certain people can't control and need help with... I actually don't care about that part. I'm more just worried about giving the power to mark someone as a outcast so easily to the government.

who said you are going to pull all funding for schools? schools would be funded by those who go there. instead of by property or sales taxes.

right now i have two kids in private school, elementary. state of Texas spends $9500 per kid a year and will bump to $13k per kid a year. i pay $9000 total for both of my kids to go to school 9 months out of the year. plus i pay another (lets just use a round number) $8-10k per year in property taxes that go to the schools.

so if i didnt have to pay to a public school, i could technically have $19000 a year to spend on my kids education? and if i am paying for it they are going to perform. Schools compete for my money and attendance. the failing ones go out of business or never have a chance to indoctrinate in the first place.


DOE destroyed education. it can be fixed if we toss that government monkey off.

You got a point. Honestly I think we should ban alcohol. It's killing like 200k people a year. The alcohol manufacturers could be putting alcohol in anything and everything. I know people who've built insane tolerances and can drink 10x what I can and still (think they can) drive. We've unintentionally created a large underclass of hardcore drinkers, and it's killed off alot of 1st time drinkers and innocent bystanders.

According to the google, the average private school tuition in the US is just over $17k per student per year. So if you had $19k to spend on your kids... one of them is going to have to stay home, or you're going to have to cough up some more money.
