Some people are pieces of shit despite their life experience, not because of it. You, Soil Expert(TM) and a couple other people come to mind.

I am in a social group (I will leave it unnamed for this example) with a lot of military. Both active and retired
The loudest person in that group beating the 'I served' drum is the guy that did Color Guard here at football games
Nothing, absolutely nothing from the guys that served and were up front in the Gulf War, Vietnam, Second Gulf War, landing fighter jets on aircraft carriers or anything in between.
But that guy was in the service:laughing:

Just like John Kerry. “I served in Vietnam” but I’m not going to tell you I put myself in for the medals. The best and the brightest standing shoulder to shoulder with the dumbest and dimmest.

Dont get me wrong I am thankful to all the serve but to many Seal/Delta/Ranger/SF/Operator, mostly fake folks and shockingly very few infantry, cooks, supply or motor pool.

It might be time to stop celebrating it. We've continually fucked up post-WWII and we do a horrible job of supporting our veterans. Celebrating it just keeps repeating the cycle. Young folks sign up, get shipped off to fight in a stupid war that does nothing for America. interests then comes back damaged and gets ignored by the government that did this to them. Gotta break the cycle. I'm glad to see military recruiting suffering. It's the government's own fault.

I think Jones is a fucking asshole for saying those people whose kids got killed faked it and were crisis actors but how in the fuck does that entitle them to over a billion fucking dollars? Punch him right in the dick? Sure. But he shouldn't owe you a dime.

Showing damages would be difficult, wouldn't it?

I suppose, and I'm stretching here, that if one of the parents applied for a job or bid on a job and was denied and told by the customer "we turned you down because you lied about your kid dying, we heard it from Alex Jones", then I could see a shred of direction.

But I'm certain that's not what happened here.
