Alex Jones vs feds standoff

"For years, the adversary complaint notes, Jones engaged in harassment and commercially lucrative lies about the school shooting. He told his audience that the shooting was fake and that “the Sandy Hook Families were ‘paid . . . totally disingenuous’ ‘crisis actors’ who faked their loved ones’ deaths,” adding that Jones “urged his audience to ‘investigate,’ knowing they would respond by cyberstalking, harassing, and threatening the Sandy Hook Families.”

This guy is making bank off of clowns like the ones in this thread.

You are OK with this ? Texas, if that was your family buried there, and this clown did what the plaintiffs allege, would you be singing your tune ?
 
The issue with Alex Jones is that he's never met a conspiracy theory that he didn't love. It's hard to give him credit when he's right because he latches onto any and all of them. The crazy thing is that sometimes it's some of the wildest ones that hit. He used to rant about this island where all the world's elites gather to fuck kids and then Epstein got arrested. Like seriously? Global elite pedophile Island was true? Fuck.

I had a neighbor who was from that area where the sandy hook shooting supposedly happened. His mom still lives there.

Long story short, the building where the shooting occurred was vacant and the entire thing was staged. I dunno. Just repeating what he told me...

side note: Where are they buried? are you saying they buried them at the torn down school?

The problem is 1, freedom of speech. Look at anyone else making money. Look at the Covid scam. Jones went agains the .gov

2, there is so much about sandy hook that doesn’t make sense. Did it happen? I truly don’t know. I cannot trust the government, And by them going hard after jones that makes me trust the government even less.

Not to defend the journalists because they deserve to hang but they're so bad at their jobs I can absolutely see them flubbing major details like that because that's just how shit at their jobs they are. There was a local police chase a few years back. The news article had it going in the other direction through a different town. Mistaking a vacant commercial building for a school and then nobody correcting it seems par for the course. Not that that makes them any less deserving of being treated like politicians.

I heard very similar from a customer who was from that area with two little girls who were school age.
 
Didn't we have a couple members here or at the old site that were from the SH area and had family or knew families that were victims?

If you told me you were a lizard people I’d have to believe it. If you were in a lineup with 9 other people and a child was asked to identify the lizard person I think you’re getting pointed at 10 out of 10 times. The problem with these events is after 10 years memories and emotions fade and it's easier for most to believe it's all a conspiracy or never happened. Hell there's people that are convinced Elvis is still alive. :laughing:

AJ used his platform, which was very popular at the time, to push that SH never happened and it was all crisis actors. I remember it very well, and will admit that I questioned things also at the time.

The real issue here, is eventually AJ admitted that he thought the shooting really happened. How do you put a monetary value to any emotional distress to families caused by an entertainer that some labeled a "news source"? Especially after he changed his opinion?

This isn't about AJ, it's about silencing opponents and setting a precedence.

AJ is just an entertainer that found a niche to build an empire and make millions by going to extremes about conspiracies. It bit him in the ass, but he doesn't necessarily deserve what he's getting.

You are proof the media is good at their job. You even adopt their tactics to try and make a point by pulling on heartstrings. Americans can and should question big crisis events. Especially given their track record of using them as a springboard to strip rights.

The stupid thing about sandy hook and jones is its barely a fraction of 1 percent of his total content. Aside from that his coverage is usually covering other reports and what people in real time are reporting. It wasnt an issue until jones started propping up trump and hilary rekindled sandy hook during the 2016 campaign that everyone suddenly decided it was time to be outraged.
 
Being deplatformed, the fake due process and ridiculous fines where done to shut him up and bankrupt him. Notice they ended up doing all the same shit to Trump. Now that Jones is back on x and Trump is up in the polls time to shut him up again.

No. I agree with protecting speech i dont like. I think we all do. I was trying to present to you a scenario that crossed the line. A line that you personally would enforce. I think I was quite clear on that. But I didn't see you answer my question directly and I would like to hear from you about it. :usa: It is irrelevant whre the Sandy Hook victims are buried or cremated. I never paid any attnetion to Alex Jones, I did not know who he was, and I am thankful for that. The old adage is that you cant yell fire in a crowded theater. The new one is . . . .. people are sued for slander all the time. With the subject ass clown, I see sensationalism and lies, outright lies at virtually every turn. When there is a request to cease, and the perpetrator amplifies his antagonism, and that hurts, damages innocent women and cildren, then the line is blatantly crossed. Fuck Aex Jones. He abused the freedom we have, and begged, beggged to have his ass kicked. :shaking:
