85 Xtra Cab Evolution

I'm pretty sure that's going to happen at this point and just start fresh. I have another motor and trans already. Pretty sure I am going to get a chassis from Adamwende at this point. Just scraping a little more cash together so I don't deplete my savings acct.

Been low key spying on this truck for years. The new chassis looks dope though. Looking forward to seeing it come together. Planning on hanging the sheet metal off it so you can continue wadding it up??

I have 2 sets of fenders and a hood I can chop up. That decision will be made further down the line.

Thank you for the info. How was the air to air inter cooler working when crawling? I was looking at ghetto fabbing a air to water setup, but maybe that’s overkill.

I didn't notice too much of a difference even after I removed the IC. I'm not completely convinced that the ICs are working optimally at crawl speeds.

I was looking thru this thread to get some Ideas for links on my Yota buggy and I'm wondering how the "sub frame" link mounts held up for you. Thinking of doing something similar.

I know the buggy is the focus these days.....what's the plan for the truck? Sell, part out, keep?

So some ways to skin that cat. If you are doing 2" wide joints, do 2" wide square or rect tube with side plates like BFR chassis has

If you are doing 2-5/8 joints, you can do 3x3x.188 wall and that will get you the correct inside width.

its held up pretty damn good so far..

As much as I hate to say it, I'm going to have a buddy clean up the wiring and probably put it up for sale.. Its not really a sellers market currently.
I wont give it away though. I just don't have the room for the new buggy, the truggy and the other project I'm working on currently. If someone offers me around 15k they can take it home. with all the spares I have for it.

Since I'm not done with the buggy, I'm going to go thrash on the truggy this weekend at a local ride.

The tires have always gotten into the lower links. I can't inboard the lowers easily, so the quick fix is a set of 2" wheel spacers all the way around.

Guess I'll get to test the fenders on my freshly widened car hauler on Thursday.. Looking for a fresh cab now. It should make it easier to sell or store at my parents down the line since I'm out of room at my place.
