What's new

'21/'22 snow thread.

Three passes with the bucket loader up and down did a good job I think.

Did you plow or just run it over? :flipoff2:

The sierras are supposed to have a solid two weeks, being in the lower elevations that just goes uphill for fun I'm looking forward to it :grinpimp:

I'm a bit apprehensive seeing this as my forecast:
2020weather.jpg

It is the most accumulated since I've lived up here(~5 years) At least I have the county plowing directly in front of my driveway

yep didn't know that either, I thought it was in washington. I just looked up the weather at Add's location and saw it was 32. I don't know why it's hard to wrap my head around there being a regular winter season there. I'm from the southeast and I've only ever been to san diego/LA in california so I guess I always forget it's not just a big hot desert. oh well I guess I'm a retard :homer:
Don't feel bad, most people that have never been to Ca. or only to L.A. & San Diego think the whole of Ca. is like that. On Facebook there's a group called "Leaving California" and even Ca. residents say "California weather" when there is no such thing. The weather varies greatly across the state.

Thats awesome, that hasn't happened in a real long time. There is usually about jack shit until February.
I agree. Hopefully that weather pattern will continue and ease the drought.
Woke up this morning to let the dogs out and we got a dusting overnight.
Still having some flurries.

First "snow" of the year! Just a dusting that will be melted in an hour or two.

meanwhile in KC it's going to set a record high today. old record is 66* for 12/24. forecast is for 67

It rained for a day and a half and knocked out 18" to about 8-10". It's back at it again though.

Road was a little interesting between sandpoint and town

We got about 10" of snow this afternoon with more predicted tonight. It was a fun drive home in the Lezbaru , about 2 miles from home I could hear the front pass side CV shaft clunking and making noise. Glad I made it home and I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

We haven't gotten that much. About 2" - 3" last night and early today, then another 2" - 3" late afternoon into early evening.
Supposed to snow shower on & off overnight into mid-day tomorrow.

Shoulder deep drift across my path out to the mailbox.. also the path to the cars..

You're grass valley ish right?

I heard the Sierras have been getting hammered, breaking records.

Hopefully it doesn't do what it's done in 97, 2017 and? Where is dumps crazy snow early, then the pineapple express comes in late Jan, and rains 30" up to 9k feet.

Yes - ish. Between GV And Colfax .

Colfax got a foot. Nevada county is in complete shambles. Hundreds of trees and power lines down everywhere.

30k people without power and no time frame to get it back

It made for a nice christmas at grandmas house. But then it kept coming and has not stopped. Trees could not handle the weight of snow and started buckling into the power lines. No power since sat night, had to cut and clear trees off the road and shovel out her driveway. The next morning she called and said they got 2 more feet of snow and more downed trees. Brother and I gonna have to burn a sick day and run back up weds or thurs and try and clear everything out for the next wave
