SxS Picture Thread!

The air filter will be addressed first thing. Don't think I haven't been paying attention to your posts. Most of the engine issues have been from dirty air filter correct? I hope it runs as good as the u10 pros. If it does i won't do a tune right away and void the warranty.
Congrats!!! Look forward to hearing how you like it and what you need to do to make it work well.

I haven't driven the U10 so I can't compare but the HD11 is a little poochy on acceleration. Top speed is fine but it's definitely tuned to be smooth.

Most of what we've seen has been air filter related and has also been on the HD10. We have replaced a transmission in an HD11 but no engines yet. But we've also only had one come in for service so far. We're getting quite a few out in circulation and we're not having a ton of complaints so I'd say it's a big improvement on the HD10 so far.

Not a picture but a video. Putting together a new 4 seat X3, took a quick video showing the frame flexing as I jack the machine up in the center. This one isn't as severe as a lot of them are but still illustrates the point well.

Picked up the defender this morning. I'm happy with it so far. Put some 32 carnivores on it from my x3, I think she looks pretty good.

Why would that be surprising I wouldn't make fun of any brand for that issue. These don't have frames like a truck.

Every one of them does it, not poking fun, just making people aware of what they're dealing with. Some people get the dumb ass idea to chop the stock cage, not that anyone here would but you never know.

Also useful if anyone is designing/building their own cage for a 4 seat (or honestly a 2 seat). Make sure you've got the machine supported in the center when you design and layout the cage, especially if it's a 1 piece. Otherwise you'll fight like hell making it fit right.

looks like an R/C car.. :smokin: I cant imagine theres enough gear reduction and room to run them?? I dont know much about what all is actually available for/ what fits on those cars. :homer:
Gearing is either ******ed low or just right with stock 29's depending on what your after. There is no low range. They geared them low enough to not really need it with stock sized tires. Downside, driving down the road, the thing was spinning 7500rpm. For a desert car, this is unacceptable. There is a gear kit for the trans to bump the overall ratio by 19%. About the same as going to 35's.

Front tire rubs the floor on the D side. P side clears. P side rear might hit a plastic shield at full bump.

I've been looking at adding a low range. There is a kit made, but it's expensive and doesn't have the best reviews. Since it goes between the motor and trans, I'm not real sure how everything downstream is going to like 2.5x the torque. The rear diffs are known not to be great.

All the long travel kits move the wheelbase out in addition to bring wider. That would solve all clearance issues.
