Big Dumb Loads

I just saw that. All the liberal news articles I read were fear mongering people into thinking that these bigger trucks with non CDL drivers are going to kill bus loads of nuns and school children at a rapid rate.
Soooo
NOT surprised!

I don't see how it is any bigger, as they already have the F550-based 26' "supermover." The only thing it comes with is a couple thousand pounds greater GVWR, but the box dimensions are just about identical.

I guess they want to try their hand at that new agnostic 6.7 Cummins, as they list it to have a 6.7 l gas turbo engine.

can an f550 get 26000 gvw? I thought my 2018 ram 5500 is 19500 (crew cab 84" 4x4)

GVWR for my 2004 F550 crew cab is 17600. GVWR is different than GCWR. in my case, 9500# of truck plus 18000 of trailer+load equals over 26k.

If I interpreted your question correctly.

Look at the distance between the rear wheel well and the front of the bed. That's a 6.5' bed.
Thats what I was thinking but not sure. Im guessing that is minimum for a GN so my 5.5 ft bed won't work.

I misread what DRTDEVL said. yes it is another 3 tons of GVWR, which ain't nothing when you're loading it door to wall with drums of brass 😂

that similar class of vehicle can be configured up to 32,000 pounds according to DOT a rental can easily be loaded to 40k and roll on.

Yew haul app makes it easy to reserve, i’m sure if someone at U-Haul was interested enough if they could look up the location data from the phone and get an idea of what was being done with it.

It’s just a plate welded to a drop in with a ball welded to it.
I've seen them. I was asking if they make them for the fancy new round shank stuff.

The answer is yes but they're ******ed and require extra brackets you probably don't want to install every time you use it. And they cost a ****ton more. Simple old **** for the win.
