Anybody running them or have run them? They are twice the cost of chinesium ones and I’m sure they are made there as well. My 24’ PJ hot shot goose fvcking blows tires. I have owned it since new and I have been through no less than 10-12 tires on it. I never exceed 65-70 mph with it. Wanted to give a set of G’s a try.

No experience, but I run Sailun S637s on my motel and they've been working really well for me knock on wood. There's about 13,500 on the four tires when I'm loaded, so it's not light.

Good to know bc I really don’t want to spent $300+ per tire. How fast do you run? Not a speed demon at all when towing but would like to at least keep up with traffic on interstate…
 
Will also add I’ve never, ever come close to wearing any of tires out. They just blow or seperate like the above one. Last two have separated. Never have more than 8ish k on trailer max.

70-80. Usually cruise around 72-75 for a couple hundred miles at a time. Max pressure.

IIRC the drive tires on my F550 have a speed rating of 75 or 80mph, so I don't go faster than that unless I really need to pass someone.

Yeah, that’s what they do. I got rid of one like the one you posted separating the same way just the other day. I’ve been switching to the chinesium 16 ply transeagles. I’d rather have something better, but here we are in bidens America.

I’ve gotten to be a pro honestly. My wife knows the size by heart and can usually piss on the side of the road and have a new one waiting on us at the next town’s tire shop by the time I get done changing it.
 
And the trailer does get used often but to Etyler’s point I don’t tow professionally with it…

Battery impact and a tire changing ramp makes quick work on a tandem axle trailer. I’ve got a single axle that I can pin a trailer jack on to either back corner and it’s almost as fast.

Any brand 14 ply seems to solve the tire blowing problem. My buddy used to work at a trailer place and put them on all kinds of trailers with very good success.

My current work switches every thing to them as well. Haven't seen any blow that I can recall.

The 17.5s on a 7-8k single or 10-12k dual makes no sense to me when the 14ply 16s work just fine, are much easier to get and usually cheaper.

Agreed but I don’t let them get so bad that they fail (anymore). I’ve only ever changed one tire coming back from Rubicon 2 years ago and the tires were from ‘08.

OP posted a pic of an otherwise very serviceable tire that threw a belt. Visual inspection isn't everything. Cheap tire (or overworked tire) problems.

Not that I can remember.

Maybe I blew one on my old 3 axle work trailer, but it would eat the tread of the tires being 3 axle and loaded to max wieght all the time.

I haven't had one just blow out of no where like the super cheap 10 and 12 ply tires though.

A tire shouldn't be failing like that at until it's 20+yr old, doubly so for a trailer tire made of super hard rubbers. If it were dry rotting and tossing tread it'd be a different story.

I'll have to go back and look. I learned about trailer tires having a shelf life when that trailer was 5 years old. It blew all 4 tires on a cross country trip heavily loaded. 5 years later I blew 3 out of 4 going to get my tractor from WV. Otherwise it is just a random here and there blow out or separation. Went to NC to get a small tractor for my buddy and one separated on the trip up empty. Been noticing a weird vibration and noticed the latest one. I rebuilt my 18' steel deck bumper pull back in 2016 and upgraded to 5200 lb axles and went to 235 80/16 E's on it and haven't lost a single tire on it in 9 years. I know it is coming and i'm on borrowed time with it.
