As far as I can tell the model number says SC TO A2. There may be a 1- something after the A2. And there may have been something between the TO and the A2.

It’s the hi lo solenoid on the transmission on a John Deere 244E.

Yup. One battery with an 11/24 sticker on it. It’s got two group 25’s on it now.

The guy you bought it from probably wants it back now that you guys figured out the problems it had and fixed it for him.

Ive had customers hook up batteries wrong on their 24v drill rigs and call saying it won't start/run ect, but never had one get one running on 12v.

Starter must have been slooooooow!

It’s a good starting little engine. Even turning slow it fired right up. If it had been hard starting I’d like to think I’d have figured it out quicker.

Yep, that's what it says right in the specifications. First section, Engine, under Electrical System:

Yup, that’s the same place I looked it up to check.

I’ve been trying to decide if running a 24 volt system on a 12 volt battery might have hurt anything. It probably wasn’t good for the starter or alternator, but other than that it’s not like there’s much to be hurt.
