Notice the magnet under the steering wheel too. I have 4 scattered in the cab and use them all the time.

I’m pretty close to Jacksonville IL.

Anyone know of a plug that fits the hole for the fuel tank switch? I have an idea to use a blazer tailgate switch, but I don’t have anything I want to wire up.

Also, after getting some miles in, between the kingpins, steering box, draglink, pitman arm, and steering stabilizer, it is driving way better. I did put the 5.5 shackles on too, but it only changed the caster like .2, with no noticeable difference. Do I need to get the caster lower than it is still though? It is just over 10 degrees.

Welded some handles onto this so I don’t need a wrench. Also the starter shat the bed. Can’t say I’m too surprised though, it’s either the one that came with the motor or I got it at the junkyard.

I can’t leave anything alone.


I grabbed the springs out of some pens, wrapped them around the ends, covered it in woven wire loom, heat shrink the ends. Hopefully that extends the life a bit. It fit loose enough that if I pulled my phone away, it would come out, so epoxied it together. That’s an apple MagSafe charger in a ram mount ball adapter. I have ram mount balls in pretty much all our tractors. However, the ball I bought to put in the truck, the threads are too short for the nutsert. I also had to get a case that works with the MagSafe charger. But this seems like it’s going to work great.

So far, the phone seems to be staying put while driving.

I dropped this off for window tint a little while ago. Getting the next to darkest on the back, and one step lighter on the doors. I pulled the latches for the wing windows. And doing the ceramic stuff. While I do like the look of blacked out windows, it does make it hard to see at night.
