2020 Rebuild - Super Party Mobile

I wish that 4 link kit was available for purchase for GM D60. That is so clean.:smokin::smokin::smokin: I would have used that when I linked mine if it had existed

So odd to see a Traditional SBC with Brodix heads in a build these days.... similar to seeing a standard cab pickup... :grinpimp:

Super Sanitary work as always Sir!! :smokin::beer:

What are the specs on the small block? That a STAHL header pattern I see on there?

that's right. it's a 436" SBC with Brodix 18* CNC ported heads. Wilson Manifolds modified the intake for multi-port EFI.
LS would be cool too but I already had a bunch of $$ in small block parts. EFI would have been simpler going LS but that's probably about the only benefit at this point.
I do love a single cab, short bed truck too!

I appreciate that! Dynatrac wouldn't give me CAD data on the axle housing so my model was based off of this pic. it actually worked really well. first shot at building these parts was very close!

here are two companies I really enjoyed working with, Radial Dynamics & Jones Racing.
I wanted quicker steering but my P-pump was at its limit as it was. Radial Dynamics set me up with a pump & reservoir to support a higher-displacement orbital valve. he spent a lot of time on the phone with me and I learned a bunch about hydraulics in the process. highly recommend! it should be right about 2.5 turns lock to lock now.

I was running 6-rib serpentine belts before, one for the steering pump and a second for the water pump & alternator. they were fine 'til they got wet or the fans & stereo were all pulling on the alternator at the same time. nothing worse than squealing belts!

Jones Racing built this mount & drive kit for the steering pump & alternator using radius tooth HTD belts. everything fit well and looks sharp. belts were probably the most common issue I had with this truck. this is definitely a welcomed upgrade. I also got one of their 240 amp alternators.
this setup is designed to work with an electric water pump.

thank you! I got them from Amazon. search "Sumner 781310 ST-981"
Vevor brand ones go higher and rated the same....were just on sale for $55 from Amazon. I picked up 2. Seem to be decent quality.

Back to normal price now...

Or direct...but they are out of stock on the 52".....

Great updates! Where will the alternator mount? Maybe it's the picture, the drive cog(?) looks way out there

thank you! this is the pic they sent me showing the alternator installed.

it does hang out a bit farther than my old serpentine setup. good observation.
I'll post better pics when I get it all assembled.

also, this was kind of silly but I dug through McMaster and found some bronze sleeve bearings that would work for the factory brake pedal pivot. I just had to cut the tube down a bit to fit the shoulder. it's smooth as glass now with zero slop. much better!

As always BAD ASS work! You fabrication and welding skills always impress!!

Are the hoses going to get into the tire at full lock and full stuff?

thank you!

90* fittings at the orbital should keep the hoses clear of the tire. it's right about in the same spot as it was before.

Looking Sexy as hell
:smokin:

thank you!
