2020 Rebuild - Super Party Mobile

That skid plate looks :smokin::smokin::smokin::smokin:

Just curious Looks like you cut the trans tunnel (body) so why not go with a flat belly?

it's pretty close. the bottom of the skid is 1.5" off the bottom of the frame. the lower links attach to the middle of the skid so suspension geometry was definitely part of it. I think the main reason was to give the skid some depth.

I did cut out part of the trans tunnel. I have the tcase clocked so that the lowest point is about on-plane with the bottom of the trans pan. I think it's a good compromise between drivetrain/suspension angles, ground clearance and not wanting to lose the whole floor.

I appreciate the kind words man!

one more pic of the axle truss. the opening over the diff is for the breather.

this came out pretty cool I think! axle upper link mounts & integrated steering cylinder mount

I didn't want any taper in the suspension bolt holes so I cut them a bit undersized and finished with a reamer.

man i really like those link mounts. That came out sweet!! Nice welds too. :smokin::smokin:

Have you considered putting a stop plate on each side of the ram som that there is no way it can move left to right? Looks like it would be super easy to do!!

Ima borrow that all in one ram mount / link mount idea!!

Thank you! I am. I'm one of the owners.

I totally missed this post back when you replied. Reason I was asking was because I ended up buying the silver Tracker that you guys started building on the old site from some kid up in OK. Took me a little while to figure out with how much hacking had been done to it but it ended up being the one. The skid plate/link mount, truss work and the 37" reds that were still new when I got it were the giveaways. I tried like heck to unfuck what the previous owners did but in the end I cut it up and parted it out because it was just too far gone. I still have the skidplate, links and axles from it though in case I find another Tracker worthy of the bad ass one off parts you guys built. :smokin:
