Win!

I prefer the rain. Snow has too little traction. Everything is wide and slow. Dry pavement has a little to much "bite" when it hooks to be graceful in ****ty vehicle with lots of body roll. Rain is in the middle.

You need worse tires.
My STI came with a spare set of wheels with hakkepelitas (i probably misspelled it) it saw 100+ on dirt and on snow. It pulled amazingly hard with the hakkewhatevers.

but all you so it sit on the bike

said some clueless overweight PE teacher when I was younger
My brother had a pharmacist ignorantly say that about snowmobiling. I mean that might be what Tin Roof does. :flipoff2:

What model was it?

There's a LOT of people that think racing in general isn't a sport. "All they do is drive fast"...

I'm guessing you have rarely broke loose/been on the leading edge of control on pavement.
Loose is fast and on the edge of out of control.

I think I have a set of those. Either they're the ones Grendel gave me from his tire pile, the ones I bought a few months ago for the rims or they're 20yo and on rear of my Ranger right now.

04 WRX STI, first year in US and the quickest STI as it was lighter and had shorter gears in the transmission. I did a catless downpipe and Cobb stage 2 tune.
Had an 05 that was gorgeous. 400 wheel hp. Was the actual car used to replicate the sound for the STI in Forza 1. Totaled in 3 months.

Will never own a very nice car again. :homer:

Why? Just curious.

If I wreck this one I'll probably get another just like it or similar.

However... Lately I've found myself calming down. Don't get me wrong, four wheel powerslides through a six lane intersection turning left are fun as ****.
I came REALLY close to the curb last time. I don't think it would have been a rollover, I think it would have ripped the entire suspension off and sent me into someone's living room.

Perhaps I need to visit an actual track
 :homer:

I've also recently decided I need to cut down on some of my shenanigans before they bite me in the ass. Though if I didn't drive like that in the first place, I wouldn't have been able to avoid other peoples' mistakes without losing control.

I am referring to the paint specifically. It was immaculate. Black pearl in color and I almost didnt get to test drive it because it was cloudy outside and he didnt want to have to rewash it if a spec of water touched the car.

If I ever get another subaru I want one thats rally ready. :smokin:

I should break a chunk out of the wheel of you back it into the curb hard enough

......my friend told me that:grinpimp:

All are sky blue with white grilles.
iirc it was a psychological directive
like how during ww2 in order to get any contract work you had to paint your machine tools that mint green color "because it lowers worker stress"

they were also the first somewhat modern trucks the commies got
with such luxuries as "electric wipers" and "cab heater"

No, they are civilian. Built by Zil and Gaz and maybe a few others. All are sky blue with white grilles.
Mil surplus? Like green deuces here?

Remember though that in the USSR there really wasn't such a thing as a civilian truck that way we think of it. Everything was made to government spec and allocated by the government. In essence, every truck in the USSR was a military vehicle, just some were allocated for 'civilian' (in quotes because everything was government controlled, and either directly or quasi military) uses and some explicitly to the military.
