Win!

The town of Goodhue, Minnesota will soon be without local law enforcement after its police force resigned last week, citing low pay.

Police Chief Josh Smith resigned at a City Council meeting on Aug. 9. One other full-time officer and five part-time employees resigned on Aug. 11 after hearing Smith quit, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The last day for Smith and the other full-time officer is Aug. 23, at which point the council will seek extra enforcement from the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office in the interim.

sounds like a place to add to my potential list of retirement locations... :flipoff2:

It's a town of 1200 people, I'm surprised they even have a police department and they had 2 full timers and 5 part timers? Where I grew up the county handled policing for towns near that size.
my town of 6k has 10 officers on staff. Unsure how many are FT and how many are PT but they all show up when something goes down.

I was just 10mi nw of them yesterday
they better watch out, the cows might riot now that there aren't cops to keep them in line

Can confirm it does work. We found the best "blast" is when the shooter draws back the elastic while the loader is unloading into the barrel. It takes a little coordination but with practice it can be quite "effective".
Can also confirm.

I live in a town of just under 4k people. We have several full time officer and reservists.

Live just outside a town of about 500. Has a chief and a couple officers. Good chunk of the funding is through speeding ticket fines. And you better slow down in town!
