I learned my lesson on dumping shit in fields.
When I was in HS my mom gave me some cash to take a truck load of stuff to the dump, being a budding entrepreneur I figured I'd pocket the cash and dump the stuff in the local field that accumulated a bunch of shit. (I wouldn't do this now, I was a kid at the time)
It had rained the night before and I got my 2wd dakota stuck in the mud. My buddy and I tried for about an hour, shoving stuff under the tires etc. Finally had to break down and call Grandpa to bring out his 79 F-250 and drag me out. He was old school, his recovery gear was a chain, he about jerked my head off and shot my truck into the pile of shit I just dumped putting a long gouge in my cab.
Of course word got back to mom and I caught hell about that for years
That's what we need more of, relentless shaming when you fuck up, rather than all this rehabilitation and forgiveness bullshit.
