Who’s stepping up their EDC?

Shit got out of control in Scottsdale AZ last night. Last place in the valley I would have thought it would happen. I'm carrying everywhere I go.
 
I carry the same pistol I've carried for the last 6-7 years and stay the fuck out of Seattle and other urban centers whenever possible. If I felt the need to pack around body armor and a long gun I'd fuckin' move.

The chance one is willing to take , I can assure you if your intent is to do me or my family harm I will respond with more than enough force to stop the threat.

Again, don’t really feel the “need”, but in this temporary volatile environment and already owning it, why not? It’s not like I’m carrying it around in a backpack riding the bus all day.

My thought in the car situation is you’re likely to see this stuff unfolding and have a 30-60 seconds before a mob gets to you, but be blocked in by other stopped vehicles where driving away isn’t an option.
 
No need to have an edc. Just call the cops. Stay home, shelter in place, trust the gubment. They have all our best interests in mind. I know they do. :rolleyes:

as general advice, yes i encourage you to buy a gun and use it and be familiar.

from a going in to areas where you might need it, if you don't have one now, avoidance is your best possible policy. if you go with a knife, plan on using it immediately if it comes out. a knife is nowhere near the deterrent a gun is, if you are one of those 'deterrent' people
 
My truck’s my mobil bug-out unit..my primary carry uses the same mags as the PCC in a gun vault concealed In my cab. I’m not afraid just prepared and if you think you live in a place that’s immune from potential violence you’re naive.

Yup. I live a long ways from any big city so I will have warning for sure. Ham radios and veterans dominate my valley. They would have to fight through roughly 75 miles of gunfire. That said stranger things have happened.
 
I'm still teleworking for the most part so the commute is not the problem. Glad I am not headed into Raleigh tomorrow. I did remind my wife not to stop for anyone trying to block the road for any reason and what she needs to do if necessary.
 
Naw...just got better insurance coverage. Kinda hoping they loot my place so I can get nicer shit.
better return on investment than a 9mm

EDC just means the junk in your pockets. I always have a pocketknife, small flashlight, cash and a bandana on me, for example.
