That's antithetical, can you have a 24" barrel on something and call it a carbine?

CETME .45 ACP conversions are all 18" barrels I think, that close enough?

45ACP velocity starts to drop after 16 inches of barrel. Why the long length?

I'd heard mp5s were terrible in 45 and they even got a hogged out trunnion to get the mag closer to the barrel as compared to the rifle calibers

mucho quiet without any muffler

like those 'metro choke tubes' they used to make for shotguns
had a 20" barrel liner laying around for 45 and decided to thread it to fit on a friend's 6" 45 just to see what it'd do
shit was 'no ear pro necessary' quiet with 230gr wolf, didn't try it with anything else and I'm fairly protective of my hearing

Not exactly, 165's theres not much improvement after 11-12". 230's after 7-8" its pretty much done. All the charts I've ever seen only go to 16". I haven't looked at my books in years though
 
Looks like PSA is going to give us an MP7 before an MP5. :shaking:

Based on their Rock 5.7. I'm not sure I want a 5.7x28 anything, but this is more attractive and obtainable option than anything I've seen since Goldeneye.

Apparently Pindad in Indonesia got FN's blessing and assistance to make their own FNC kind of like MKE did for Turkish MP5s. Pindad USA is supposed to be importing FNCs this year. Imported as pistols to get around 922R.

I have no need for it, I already have a 93R17 and an A17, but I'm a 17 HMR whore and this intrigues me. Rock River is going to release their ball bearing delayed, gas operated, 17 HMR as an upper/mag well kit.

It looks like it is roller delayed gas operated.

i thought that was one of the reasons HK didnt even try(very hard) to put the Mp5 in 45 and went with the UMP and USC instead?
