trying to find out if thats legally mine or not, and if its a protected kind
I was thinking if you were cutting it anyways what would it matter, But I get it.

around here if they are along the sidwalk like that the city owns them and gets shitty if you cut it down.

it doesnt have leaves, it has this shit that grows and instantly falls

I want to plant something else instead, orange and lemon trees

I have almost 30 fruit trees and not a single one in the front yard. Know too many people with citrus in their front yards that come home to half picked trees. My brother’s yard gets raided often. Fuckin fruit pirates, they’re everywhere!

i am OK with that, at least the tree will have some purpose, unlike this stupid thing.

Prepare straps/chains, wait for a good windy night, cut a small score in it and drag it down with your truck. Call the city to come clean up the downed tree and be there with your chainsaw clearing away the evidence when they arrive.....that's the only way to deal with shit like this in CA cities. Make sure your neighbors don't hate you or else this idea won't fly

Im good with the neighbors. Fly a US flag and keep my lawn clean. And my girlfriend grew up here so she knows everyone :grinpimp:

I'd probably have an oops with a skid steer and it fell over. Rip the stump out and patch the lawn. Doubt anyone notices it's missing. :grinpimp:

If someone from the city stops by in 5 years asking about it, you know nothing and can't remember a tree there. :flipoff2:

Best I can do is some type of Sumac tree from the West Coast. I would keep it around, but it looks like someone with poor pruning skills hacked it-

Whereabouts (roughly) are you?

Looks like an ash that hasn't died from EAB yet.
