What do you do for work?
We've got openings in Pinedale, Casper, Cheyenne, and Craig Co for cellular/microwave/electronics techs.

Honestly I'm hoping for a real bad winter, kill off all this year's california transplants.

Come on bad winter...

Wait... aren't you a California transplant? :flipoff2:

Good ol' Utards.

Many of the coal fired power plants are looking at shutting down in the next couple of decades, FYI. Not sure how much longer you have in the workforce, but wanted you to be aware if you get to the point of seriously considering Wyoming. Its never fun to have your employment constantly on the line as you battle against a bunch of quality employees who just got laid off.

You are correct, Jim Bridger will shut down 2 of it's boilers in 2025 and the last two in 2030ish time frame.... won't be good for Rock Springs.

This country has closed down over 200+ coal fired power plants and several have switched from coal to gas.

I have about 12 - 15 years left of being in the workforce..... at at least that's my plan :lmao:

I've worked in the air pollution control business my whole life, went from being the laborer grunt, welder, crane operator, lead man, foreman, supervisor, project manager, .... now i'm a desk jockey worthless fucker lol

Edit: Sales, did sales for same company in between those other classifications...... despite my shitty disposition online I'm really good with people :lmao:

What openings do you have in Casper? I've been in Oil and gas for the last 10 years, but would love to get away from it. Not a sparky, but I know my way around computers and can pull wire.

Sadly coal is on it's way out, Gillette has lost a ton of people.

COD, not a whole lot of call for sales around the Casper area, Rock Springs is a shell of it's former self with the death of oil and gas in the state. There is only 1 rig drilling in the entire state.

A really nasty winter for Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Utah would be great.

I've done the same thing for so fucking long I'm ready for whatever change is out there, looking to make a lifestyle change!

Working in the construction industry since I was 12 has had me around so many fucktards that I'm kind of just tired of people. East Coast workers in my area are just.......let's say good people are hard to come by. Between the meth heads and just the outright idiots makes a man want to wake up in the mornings slap his wife, slap his dog and piss in the wind.......it's exhausting lol.

I can't count the times we would hire people for "X Job in Some Random State" and they're at the main office saying how hungry they are, their dog hasn't ate, light bill is due, babies need diapers etc. and they want to go on the first 7/12 hour job you have. You send them out only to have the fucktards miss 2 days a week because they're all some kind of fucked up on drugs, they're a drunk or they had to run home because they thought somebody was hurting mommy's puss while they are out of town.

When I worked on the road there were times I was only home 52 days or so a year..........people just don't work anymore, well at least from my perspective.

I know one guy came home at least 3 times due to his grandmother passing, I finally told him last time to bury the bitch face down............that way she'll keep digging and not pop back up.

Whenever somebody asks the question "Which blah blah blah is best?" and then proceeds to supply exactly ZERO criteria to define what "best" means to them then you know they are a fawking moron. :flipoff2:

I agree. I am a problem solver, though, so I will use my own criteria to answer the problem. Wyoming and Colorado top the list because they're easy to draw. Wyoming edges out Colorado to be top dog because it's smaller and doesn't have Denver in it. It's also on top. :grinpimp:

Seems like all these out West states are getting a ton of transplants. Not sure what these people are doing for jobs once they get here.
I would love to get back to Montana, but I doubt it will happen any time in the near future.

tech money working remotely is my guess.

Not in small town in Montana and Wyoming internet service is usually slow at best, nonexistant is pretty common.
maybe they all have trust funds or something.

Cod, I hear you on lousy workers, at least half of the guys we would hire were crap and couldn't hack it.

Had one guy come up from Tx to help cover a few jobs, got drunk didn't answer his phone, missed his flight. I asked our admin, how old he was, thinking he was in his 20s, nope 45 year old dipshit, we sent him back to Tx and he bitched about not getting any jobs.

I want to move to South Dakota. Wife won't leave family. I'm ready. Done with the east, done with all the idiots we have around here, done with the severe COVID-19 hysteria in our area, just done.

If I were to leave Wyoming, the Black Hills of SD would be on my short list. Neither WY or SD have state income tax. :smokin:

lol I'm not from California, Tennessee bred, born and raised just looking for a change.

It will greatly depend on what type of weather you're willing to tolerate and if there's jobs for what you do.

My wife was like yours, wouldn't leave family, as that's extremely important to her. Some family is now seriously considering bailing on Ca. and that pushed her over the edge. It's between Twin Falls Idaho and the area around Flagstaff Arizona, most likely Williams Arizona. She said.................... I'm ready for a change.

they are moving to the major cities, as soon as they have control of the population centers then can change policy.
