Never made it up there. I did find these pictures from the last time the WW2 planes came to town. Got there too late to do the ride on the bomber but I have a cool vid or them starting the engines on the place in the last pic. Must have been amazing hearing a squadron fly overhead.

That’s so badass. P-51 is my most favoriteist plane ever, especially that particular paint scheme.

You sure know when he’s about to buzz the tower. He has that thing cranked up to 11. Here’s the best pic I have of it. He can’t land here because our runway is too short (and bumpy).

C-5A is just cool... So who cares what the title of the thread says. I just happen to really like Pre-WWI , WWI , and Interwar Aircraft more than most seem to hence the title.

My uncle, who is a retired USAF Colonel, flew the C-5 out of Dover for years. Including transporting the American casualties back from Mogadishu / Black Hawk Down.
