Not common or regular here at all... very much a freak occurrence that gets attention.

It was like when I saw that one Biden campaign sign here back in '20... it was so rare and off that I made a mental note of it. A mask around here sticks out like a Biden sign.

It's a damn shame that admitting you're human and occasionally get some shit wrong is a political liability. I mean, damn. Nobody's perfect.
 
The last mask I saw was the fellow behind the counter at the grain store.... his wife had covid or flu, and he figured he might have it but wasn't sure. Beyond that I can't say I've seen any masks in my travels in east bumfuck vt and nh.

My bank hung the mask sign on the door, right next to the no face coverings sign. You were doin it wrong no matter what:laughing:
 
My bank had a sign to ware a mask if you wanted to go inside. It was placed over the normal sign saying not to ware sunglasses and face coverings. I went in without a mask at that time and I go in now with sunglasses. Nobody ever says anything.

No but i'm on the road a lot in the NJ,PA,NYC area for work.

My Dr office which is part of St barnabus health care just tested me that masks will be needed. I won't ware one unless someone makes me.

This is what blows me away. There are numerous studies that have determined that masks don’t work. There are zero studies that show they do work that have held up to scientific scrutiny. Not one. Some have been proven to be out and out fraud. And still there are places requiring masks?

The fact that you can’t safely work in a Covid mask anywhere you need to wear a proper mask for OSHA/MSHA etc reasons says a lot. Go try and paint a car wearing a paper mask and ask why the air tastes funny. Covid is smaller than most particles and those masks only do 3 microns iirc at best
 
Ultimately, we rely on the Supreme Court to make a decision and make it final.
The Cochrane Review has ruled in this case on masks.

Any lawyer knows what the Supreme Court is, and any doctor knows what the Cochrane Review is.
The entire medical establishment has trusted the Cochrane Review for over 30 years to set and align standards in medical practice.

They finally made their ruling on masks, and despite Becky the "fact checker", there is no excuse for any business or place requiring masks for Covid any more.

and people'd still go "but they only did it because they have our best interests at heart" or alternately "yeah they've been doing that for decades, say something new"

I think I would have caved in his situation. Leaving my wife to raise my kids without me seems like a pretty damn selfish thing to do. The risk of dying from the vax vs the certainty of dying without the transplant would have been a hard thing to justify. I may be forever corrupted, but at least my wife and kids are all of pure blood while I can continue working and providing for them. Sure, I risk dying of cancer or some other consequence of the vax, but at least it would likely wind up years down the road when the kids are older and better equipped for life without me.

There was a local woman in Calgary who was also killed by Alberta Health Services under the same circumstances. She died after the restrictions were dropped by the province but AHS continued them out of their sense of moral superiority.
