What's new

Twister fans, thoughts on new movie trailer?

The new body style ram came out in 1994.

Twister came out in 1996.

that just means they used one of their fleet of "crusher" vehicles from their initial testing/prototyping in the movie. It was a prototype when it was built, but the production vehicle it was the prototype for had already been released.

It was 1995 actually :flipoff2:
It's been 30 years so here goes nothing:flipoff2: I remember when the new body style Dodge's came out they only made regular cab trucks that first year. I read in a magazine at the time it was due to production constraints for the new body and the extended cabs didn't come out until 1995. I don't know when the suicide doors came out for the extended cabs, I do know it wasn't an option for my '96 extended cab Dodge.

Walker TX Ranger and his extended can dodge that aired at least a year before twister call bullshit on your claim.

As do I since I drove one to watch the damn movie.
Wait there’s other people here that watch Walker Texas Ranger :bounce:

I had 2 '94s that were the new body style.

Stupid us, went with the V10 in one and 360 in the other. Should have got Cummings in both.

Saw it today too. Good movie, but the original was more believable.

It bothers me that none of the CBs had antennas plugged in.

Where did Dorothy 5 come from?

Just got out of watching the movie

8/10 do recommend. :smokin:

The 2500 Ram catching air has to have a badass suspension for the movie though. That was a lot of weight to be throwing around like that - even if they shot it in slo-mo and sped it up :smokin:
Did you recognize anywhere local in the movie?

Probably carli suspension.

Guess the wife and I will check out the flick. The original is a staple in our home around spring

The rodeo was shot ~6 miles from my house.

Yukon is visible. A couple of wind farms.

There was a shitton of extra angle welded on that truck though.

The trailer for The Fall Guy movie proved that.

*On the flip side of that I’m looking forward to the new Beetlejuice movie. :homer:
I just found this thread and saw this about the Fall guy. I didn't watch the trailer, don't care about the plot.. but they got Emily Blunt to play Jody? FAIL. Heather Thomas as Jody was :smokin: and somehow in every episode they found an excuse to put her in a bikini or french maid outfit or something :smokin:

Watched it on TV last night, not bad, but theu should have shown glass being smashed by debris, like really happens. 3000lb round bale hits front of truck? No damage, just bounced off. I kept hoping to see Helen Hunt as the mom...oh, well, I may STILL got to the theater to see it when it hits the dollar show.

BTW...it was dailyoo ap...before the black guy with a blender.

The suicide doors were a mid-year model change, the 1998.5's were the changeover. It was also the change from the 12V to the 24V 5.9. Now. back to stormy weather based movies....

Remember the term “grail truck”?

Yup! I danced all around it. I have one of the last 98's 2500's off the line and one of the first 98.5 3500's. The 3500 drw, 4 door cab with a 12v. It was a 2wd though.

Half the reason I watched Walker TX Ranger was that truck. :smokin:

12V, manual trans, suicide door extra cab. Dont know if long bed or short bed was in the mix as well.
