Twister fans, thoughts on new movie trailer?

The wife and I love the 1996 movie Twister. It was awesome, we watch it just about every time we are under a tornado watch at home...lol... We got really disappointed by every tornado movie ever since- into the storm was mediocre and a little over the top, supercell was like a b-rate movie at best....

We watched the trailer for the new twisters and almost immediately we dropped all expectations... it looks too over the top like all other tornado movies... What is your thoughts?

Saw the add for it last night and it confirmed to me there are no new ideas for movies and that I will not be going to see it.

Glad it's not a reboot of the original (Twister vs Twisters), that fact alone means I will probably watch. I love the original (Helen Hunt was fully in my spank bank as a teenager). It will probably suck but won't know until I watch.

I had not heard of remakes of The Fall Guy or Beetlejuice, I will also be skipping those.

The add from last night sure looked like a reboot, the little balls/devices they need to release into the tornado and other scenes looked similar, the only difference was the added and 'S" to the end of the title.
