Trump will have Elon audit the entire federal government

The richest, depending on when the assessment is made. Being wealthy of course has 0 correlation with business sense.

But yes, I believe Musk is a complete buffoon.
huh?????

The media part no, the Elon part yes. He is completely toxic, and of course people stopped using it because of him. And as a result, twitters value took a dump.
Wasn't reddit 95% fanbois of his until he got a little conservative? I'm sure that has nothing to do with the media tho. :homer:

So being over valued with smoke and mirrors had nothing to do with that ? He even said it was not anywhere near worth what he was going to pay.
Come on man, you're much smarter than that

Your view on Trump as well.

The main stream and most social media groups are happy to have you as a member.
I don’t actively use social media, aside from this forum.

You are correct, I am not a fan of Trump. I expect him to lose handily. Nikki Haley was and is my pick.

just because he's "the most educated" person does not mean he's smart...

You left out the main stream media...

Under what metric would X be considered to be doing well? Maybe I’m wrong? By all accounts there is an exodus of users and advertisers, so I’m perplexed as to why X can seen as anything besides a flaming train wreck.

Being highly educated has 0 correlation with common sense.

I would argue the more educated the less common sense someone has.

Musk has added lots of new features, cut 90% of the staff at twitter and continues to show your actual impressions vs facegram or tickcrap. It’s where anyone from 15-40 gets the majority of their “news” or propaganda.

You can’t tell me that if he decided he wanted to sell he couldn’t get just as much as he paid for it, he has showed how much of the narrative you can control by owning one of the media companies. Now you’re going to tell me someone is not going pay any number for that amount of influence?

Do I agree with everything he’s done and said no, do I believe he has the best wishes of the country at heart? Yes.

It has cost elon millions to say people should be able to say whatever they want, just look at the stuff with Brazil. Brazil wanted musk to silence a few accounts, they said they were criminals for whatever reason, musk said unless he was given evidence he wasn’t deleting “real” accounts. Brazil gives musk evidence he says it’s not enough so Brazil gov bans twitter in Brazil.

What data has X released to you - or anyone - to support the claims? X is a PRIVATE company... they don't have to release anything about engagement, users, advertisers, etc....

I'm not sure you know how private companies work.

Because bots aren't users, the stated value of Twitter was based on a lie. They stole money from advertisers that thought they had a larger audience than they did.

So from not answering the question I’m going to take that as you can’t.

Moving on, are you of the opinion that if Musk were to sell X today, he would walk away with a profit?

You claimed the value went down because he bought it and that he was the issue. The issue is that it was WAY over valued when he bought it and he said so several times . He said he didn't care.

Doing well or not, no idea and to be honest I don't care other than it makes the mouth breathers loose their minds. The lunatics are still on there so they didn't go to another platform. Is his advertising revenue down, I'm sure it is again, he doesn't seem to care

The only person in a world that has a thing for sale that has a broad appeal to many large investors and corporations, headed by someone who doesn’t value money because they have fuck you and your billionaire friends money. That’s generally a recipe for making money if someone what’s what you have but I would guess his estate is more likely to sell than himself.

just because he's "the most educated" person does not mean he's smart...
This has 0 to do with me. I have never, and will never, disparage anyone in these discussions about their own education levels. For the record, it is always someone else that feels the need to point out my education and then personally attack me.

As you did.

Which facts there were incorrect?
When the left is told to hate someone, they follow through. The left will pressure companies to pull advertising and threaten to cancel people if they do not go along with the new thing. Twitter was clearly over-valued prior to the sale and He knew it but bough tit anyway because he felt the freedom of speech is priceless.
If you think we couldn't cut half the federal government without the average person knowing it, you are a fool.
Only outsiders like these two will even consider cutting the government. They are probably the only people in politics who will support term limits as well.

Spock would say that is illogical. :flipoff2:

The richest, depending on when the assessment is made. Being wealthy of course has 0 correlation with (edit) intelligence.

But yes, I believe Musk is a complete buffoon.

So it's just dumb luck and coincidence that nearly every company he's started or bought has been insanely successful?

Side quest:

Do you believe that society as a whole is better or worse off with Musk owning Twitter vs. what we no know about how it was run before he bought it?

I wouldn't bet on that.

I believe people that are born rich have an uncanny ability to stay rich.

As to whether society is better or worse, I would argue it's better. The collapsing influence of social media couldn't be more welcomed. The sooner the world is rid of facebook, tiktok, twitter, linkedin, instagram, the better. I wish facebook would accelerate in its own demise, but it seems to have staying power.

Who told who to hate Bud Light? ...Target? Was that the left?

Can we cut half the federal government? Yep. I didn't say otherwise, so not sure why you're suggesting I did. Seeing as how Trump increased the national debt 8 trillion dollars, I do not have confidence in his ability to "cut" anything. I have even less confidence that Harris will, but let's not pretend Trump has anything other than a disastrous fiscal history to point to.
