The difference is hundreds of pounds, not thousands. I like the Aliners because they are allowed in areas that require a hard side camper but if youare really worried about weight, they wre definitely heavier

From what I saw in a quick search it actually was thousands. 1150 dry weight on the Quicksilver, and about 4,000 on a bigger Aliner. That’s a big difference.
I think hard sided camper requirements are only in grizzly country. If I’m not mistaken.

Never had leaks, at the dealer the do an initial misting of water that supposedly causes the threads to swell up together. They may have had holes or pop up gizmos, which are also nice for temp control
