Tier 5 emissions oh boy

The cabover pete is just for hailing my crap and leaving this shithole known as PRC.

No it wont have a cardboard license plate, it will be legally licensed where I end up landing and I will use the federal exemption to haul my own property.

Remember any and all laws that violate the constitution are null and void , at lesdt thsts the premise.

For everyone else beyond CJ to peruse, re the 16th amdt and its ratification.

You never going to leave your property? Going to hang a cardboard sovereign citizen plate on the cabover Pete you'll likely never buy, and hope for the best? Not going to pay the tickets when you get stopped for driving a vehicle with no plates or registration, that isn't titled in your name?

You can still be arrested, fined and jailed for breaking those laws if they have not been struck down yet by the courts. You seem to ignore that fact.
Also, as stated it's the courts that make the decision as to what laws are unconstitutional. Your personal opinion on that means jack shit nothing.

Ok Carl Johnson, that mentality has been insconced and there for specific reasons and has been used time and time again from memory.

Wouldnt be the first time I was arrested, nor the last, As I recall you think the 16th amdt stands as a valid amdt even though there is evidence of the fraud of its validity.

Ill bet you still think you are correct on that point of law.

Again, the courts make those determinations, NOT YOU. That's according to COTUS. Your personal opinions on the subject have no
standing in law. That is also according to COTUS. When you figure out how our system functions I'll start giving credence to you.
The claims that it wasn't properly ratified have been ruled as fraudulent. Please, get a clue.

Well, ya know, sometimes fuck SCOTUS. Sometimes they get shit wrong. Their history of reversal of rulings, clear political pandering, and showmanship should clue you in that they ain't the god you make them out to be.
So, according to SCOTUS. Fuck em. Sometimes. :flipoff2:

How many more unreliable and expensive modules made with super whizz bang chips is this bullshit gonna take? How many more miles of cheap, shitty made in China pre chaffed wires will this demand? Maybe we can install squirrels with brooms in the exhaust to make that diesel exhaust squeaky clean. Fuck how reliable the truck moving your food is, thats not even an afterthought. And does this mean that water pumps will go from $800 to $1200?

don't worry, just move to guatamala or whatever for a while
the US will eventually return to natural order in the economy and society

Natural order outlasts every government because it evolved out of our nature rather than being assembled by man to try and control human nature.

Whats sad is everyone who does what they need to make their truck reliable is labeled as some kind if eco terrorist.

So lets take my friends 2016 Peterbilt 579 w/ a Paccar MX13. Streamlined exhaust and with a 10spd is averaging over 7mpg. Before that, he was barely cracking 6mpg. Cosuming def and obviously burning more diesel. How is this more efficient? For arguments say the difference is 1.5mpg, over 115k mi this year. That is a 3800gal difference in fuel used. For 1 year. These idiots believe that burning an extra 3800gal AND hundreds of gal of def is better than consuming less diesel?! Beyond fucking stupid. And thats just based on the fuel. Imagine the trickle down of a more efficient engine.

been over this before in regards to retarded ignition timing on engines in the '70s to try and combat the formation of nitrogen oxides at the expense of similar increases in fuel consumption

Was just reading the helium thread.

Da fuq, man? How the fuck did we let:
1. The government to become a competitor on the market?
2. The government to make the rules of the market?
3. The government to pick winners and losers on the market?
4. The government as an entity using taxpayer funds to set market pricing?

Pretty crazy what generations have allowed, a further encroaching and bloated government for the sake of "national security" meanwhile becoming the epitome of a national threat to the very people it was instituted to represent.
Unintended consequences man, they fuckin get ya.

Don't need to get pulled in. Will have rolling scales and on-board diagnostics to report mechanical conditions.
Have you guys ever seen a science fiction movie:idea:
How do you check for chaffed or sun bleached air lines? Leaking shocks? Bad bushings? If they go that far then things like dash lights that go out will get picked up and be a further issue.

You cant compare 70's diesel engine technology with anything modern. Hands down tech has made engine emissions cleaner and more efficient. If we'd have kept on that path of refining and not played the "stick a complicated filter on the exhaust" bullshit and we'd be way ahead if where we're at.

road to hell is paved with good intentions, man

Why not have 'we the people' controlling the market?
Why not trust 'we the people' implicitly?

Oh wait, the gov't isn't representative of the people and hasn't been for a very long time, but progressives are too blinded by idealism to see this clearly

nononono
this was '70s gasoline engines that were getting fucked by emissions standards making them drink fuel, during the gas crisis no less

we've all been fucked before, and will be fucked again

Yup. I was there for that. Those engines had vacuum retard.

That's deep.
Been figuring out a lotta stuff lately that's plainly obvious on its face but we have the wrong words fed to us all our lives, making understanding of the obvious concepts somewhat difficult.

Like how you don't gotta argue for capitalism, it is just the natural order of economics. It is literally the default state of being that evolved directly from our natural behavior with no outside interference.

Fuck marx for rebranding "the natural order of economics" as something he could paint in a poor light while pushing his idealistic tripe. Special political language is truly a scourge upon humanity.

Tier 4 is responsible for a 15% drop in fuel consumption, and windowed blocks before 600k miles, when everything else prior is still haulin at over 1.5 million miles.

Like everything else its only effective if people comply.

And then what? Be a criminal with arbitrary enforcement hanging over you?

The problem is that there's too many people responsible. You can't shoot the DOT officer, they'll say he's just enforcing the law. You can't shoot the beurocrat who made the rule, they'll say he's just doing what the politicians said. You can't shoot the politician, he's just doing what the voters asked for. You can't scalp the fucking leftist who voted for the politician because they'll say he didn't come up with the implementation details. There is literally nobody who can be held to any degree of responsible for the shit we are up to our necks in.

Until each and every one of these motherfuckers who has partial responsibility get to share a hole together nothing will change. Everyone will just keep "doing their jobs" in blissful ignorance thinking it's other people's job to make sure society doesn't get run off a cliff.

It makes me wonder if these people even talk to automotive engineers, etc. to gauge what might be A) even possible given current technology and likely near future technology and B) the cost and feasibility of implementing that tech on a widespread scale in the real world.
Regulator: "can you get 100mpg"

Dumbass soyboy leftist engineer that doesn't know when to STFU: "well technically but it would look a lot like a 1990 Ford Escort with a Briggs and Stratton in it"

Regulator: "100mpg requirement it is"

I've been driving out of compliance for some time now. Occasional registration if I feel I need it, like hauling something important or I'm coming up on the 1 year out mark that they make you renew in person. I keep one vehicle "legal".
I'm similar but it's not great since it gives the powers that be probable cause that will hold up in court to stop me whenever. You're commercial so they already had that in your case.

I'd do this more often because fuck the government and I live in the middle of nowhere. But they have license plate readers in a lot of the squad cars up here now.

They don't have plate readers where your at?

I plan to be, and I plan to be more valuable because of the complexity.
I enjoy the real cock sucker jobs, the intermittent faults, broken wire shit etc. that other techs avoid.

Currently we have two diesel electric dozers the D7E and the D6XE, we have some classes for them but not a active policy to limit who works on them (within reason).
There will be a point in time where you can adapt and move on get left behind.
We had a D7E at work. No one used it if at all possible. Was like the fat asthmatic kid in the kickball line.

Some do. Fuck gov, still works out to be $ ahead even with ticket which usually is dropped if you register right away. Just don't be hauling drugs or something.

They do. The cops don't care unless they're out fishing.

And thanks to all the BLM hoopla, they do a lot less fishing than they used to because nobody wants to be the guy that kills the next Floyd. The shortsighted old boomers in here don't seem to get this last part and how it's good for us.

It's amazing what a relatively small contingent of tree huggers have been able to force on society.

That reminds me, I need to put some DEF in my truck. I bought it a few days ago and it's been riding around in the back.
My favorite part is the junk science that was already mentioned. The tier 4 boogeyman that they were going after was NOX and particulates. Those efforts made the engines consume about 7% more fuel and produce 7% more CO2. Of course, that’s for big 2500hp industrial diesels. Smaller ones took a bigger hit.

So, write regs that make the problem worse, attempt to fix it with more regs, and meanwhile some few people get richer off it while everyone else gets poorer.

Every day I understand the drivers of the French Revolution a little bit better.
