What's new

Things you used to enjoy…..

So let’s say someone with a mid size ADV bike is looking at a “small” bike to improve my single track skills or harder two track that is too technical for my current skill level.

Not downsizing. In addition to. Not hucking off MX jumps. Will be dropped many times. Not likely to get any maintenance beyond fluid and pad changes.

Ideal if it is street legal “enough” that I can take it 10 miles on pavement to the forest roads and trails.

All my bikes are Italian but they lack in small displacement supermoto or MX bikes unless I have missed something.

Suggestions?
XT250 or TW200

And Christmas taking for frigging ever.
Now it's more like, seriously? Already?! Last Christmas was like 3 months ago.

It wouldn't be so bad if they would wait until, I dunno, December maybe, to put shit out in the stores. Lowe's starting putting out Xmas trees the same week they put out their Halloween decorations :shaking: I'm fucking sick of Xmas by the time Thanksgiving rolls around.

Walking properly. A good group of you here know why. I thought I could beat it, I'm still struggling.

Other than that I'm completely cool with what my goings on is..

I understand, walking properly or even just walking some days is a pain in the ass. Even if you don't see it just keep plugging away and you'll improve. It will get better with time, I wish you the best.

WR250R geared down at the sprocket. It’s efi, low maintenance, 22,000 mile valve adjustment interval for example. It is street legal. Geared down, 1st is like granny gear. Stock, mine would hit upper 90s

Try giving them.:flipoff2:
:lmao:

Local HD just pulled all of their Halloween stuff for Xmas.

OP, everything. Stuck in a rut and things are just blah or I dont want to do anything. Aside from sleeping right now, I could sleep and be happy about it.

Not to get too personal or heavy but don’t let depression set in. It can sneak up on a fella, and certainly be hard to beat.

Chin up, and keep on keepin’ on.

Thanks but no thanks. I have a 125 motoped for around the ranch roads, that is as close to a TW 200, as I am gonna get.

The KTM ticks the boxes, need to look at the WR250,

when I was a kid, and 40 lbs lighter, I rode the hell out of the farm XR200, I was not big enough to kick start the farm managers XT500 then XR 500.

I ran Ruggers old XR 650 for a few years, until my zero maintenance program caught up with me, and I sold it for what I paid for.

The ten miles to national forest is winding county paved roads that are 25 - 45 mph. Come first snow I suspect C/L and marketplace will be full of summer bikes.

Where were you 7 months ago when I bought this thing?!? :flipoff2:
Have a buddy that used to ride with us back in the 90s, he was always a Honda guy mainly XR 400-600. He hadnt rode anything but street bikes for the past, got an itch went and bought 2023 CRF 450, 1 month in broke left leg and arm kissing a tree.

Theres a small window when you get back on a bike where you are remembering how good you were, but reality hasnt set in yet....That is a very dangerous time:laughing:

They just pretended to be horny so you would give them more cocaine and $$ :flipoff2:
I didn't hang out with them at work :lmao:

I can count on one hand the amount of times I've been inside a strip club, only once a customer, spent several hundred dollars and went home alone, once was enough.

The dirt bikes for sure. After my back issues, it just hurts to much to try and ride. I am always going from one thing to the next, so old hobbies become new again. I only like doing the mods not really using the stuff that much. SxS has gotten a little boring now that I have done all the things I wanted to do to it. Thinking about adding tracks to do some winter stuff. Got a shitbox that needs some work, but just to f'n tired all the time to get much done. If I just had the lift installed it would be easier, right? Oh, and not having any friends makes it harder to go out and have fun. The wife can't push a stuck SxS as good as I'd like...

Being able to go out in public and everyone being friendly...Canadians were always known to be nice people, you could chit chat with anyone in line at a store or the people serving you or whatever, but with the amount of immigrants both working and around the stores, it's just a shit environment and you can't talk to those idiots since they don't understand shit.

So ya, I used to enjoy the world being a friendly place.

It is hard to read that knowing you flip out over the neighbor kids bouncing a ball outside

Things I used to enjoy
being about to be a kid, without electronic tracking, security cameras, and being able to go play pranks on people
like getting a old purse and leaving it next to the hiway tied to a string, knocking on a door of your friends and running away, taking off on you BMX and not coming home until it was dark
also
driving to school with the gun in my window rack and leaving it at school with the doors unlocked and the school ok with it

I so enjoy cutting wood still, but the older I get the more mechanical the process gets

Friendly neighbours don't disrupt each other....the other neighbours I have are all mindful of each others existence and whether what they're doing disrupts things. They're all friendly...this basketball ones are new, are not Canadians, and are not respectful in many other ways (smoky fires close to buildings, fireworks in prohibited areas, etc.) that don't bother me the same but are still dick moves that are actually not allowed.

Gawd damn yer a bitch:lmao:

When one neighbour acts differently than the other 20 close by...they're the bitches. The other neighbours are outside, have children playing, have fire pits and hot tubs and parties on their decks and do yard work with gas tools and every other normal activity and it doesn't even cross my mind that they're doing it...yet somehow manage not to smoke out the neighbourhood or light off explosives that hit peoples cars/houses or make banging noises for hours on end, they truly are the don't give a fuck about anyone around them types.

I can put up with the other shit the piss poor neighbours do since it's not hours every single day, but they fucking crossed the line with the basketball noise when it's a daily disruption for hours.

Thanks mang. Work, house reno, lack of enjoyment out of hobbies (started going wheeling again on the weekend before the newly purchased house, not so much now). Seems like I'm doing things I dont like and nothing else.

Racist comment. You're the pasty white non nice Canadian and they are black.

:flipoff2:

No shit. How DARE someone enjoy an activity that is 100% legal that doesn't bother anyone else.

If everyone around you is an asshole the only common denominator is you which means you're the asshole.
