Was gonna mention funding them against the soviets but it goes further back
without western oil industry they'd still all be goat herding cavemen


I can see colonial motions being a net positive thing, but only if you're willing to bare your colonial intent to the world.
The US has basically never had the heart to properly enslave its colonies like the british did. In the past.
That's kinda a good corollary for the US global empire. It sorta worked when we were still firebombing civilians "for their own benefit" but as soon as the public realized that such shit is entirely morally bankrupt, the decline was set in stone.

But it's actually a good thing because the US can't get away with doing a lot of things to its own people, but it can totally get away with paying UOR GREATEST ALLY to do those same things to US citizens.

You just don't get it, sometimes the government just needs to have a few child sex slaves in its employ possession. Obviously.

Why should they even think twice about it? They've learned that no matter what they say, the MSM will take it as Gods own words. Without the MSM playing their part, they couldn't tell the absolute bullshit lies they are these days.

I honestly think the MSM is worse than the politicians. We expect politicians to speak with forked tongue. The MSM hides behind 'Freedom of the press" while being a propaganda arm of the government. They are the Deep State.

The decision to not support morally bankrupt actions externally immediately results in significant moral bankruptcy internally.

People voting for Democrats are worse than the msm and the politicians combined.

Imagine if politicians(both sides) had supported Trump with the border, calling out fake news, woke shit and reducing conflicts and money sent around the world. The U.S. would be standing strong as hell. You know, put the countries interest ahead of their own.

The Brits did very little actual enslavement on their own, they did but it wasn't a lot. What they were goddamned experts at was rolling into somewhere (India, etc) identifying who the big swinging dicks were and who their enemies were. Then funding both to fight each other almost To the death and in comes the other guy they were supporting and mops up the previous guys. But now that guys got a hell of a debt to pay off to the Brits and knows they'll do the same thing to him. They also had their own private armies that would come in too.

It all went to shit after they stopped meritorious promotions in the Navy and they ran John Company into the ground. :flipoff2:

The many flavors. Avoidance is always an option, it oddly requires more effort. Significantly so.

The concepts of "they hate us for our freedoms" and "better to fight them over there rather than here" are much less about foreigners. Either way we are only fighting our organic, internal demons. That's a fight that won't end.
 
I've lost track of this derail in here, but as I keep telling people when they ask me about foreign policy, fuck em, if they want ot be free bad enough they'll fight for it.. like we did many years ago. And yes i know the French helped, etc.. but we at least took the first step. As far as the above mentioned shit about funding both sides of a war.. we do that shit all the time lol. How's that working out for us?
If I was to run for president my slogan would be "don't start shit, there won't be shit" and otherwise I'd leave everyone else alone and cut the funding and all to everybody. Fuck em all and let God sort them out.

Yep. They were goat herders way into the 70's. American companies built their oilfields. Then they kicked us out and took them over.
