Nope. One of those things that does not matter to me. It is what it is. I have no idea how much a gallon of gas even costs.

The computer on my f150 spits out roughly what its getting mileage wise. I dont even know what my other rigs are getting

It was simply a real world example of basic algebra.

Make it water and people in a life boat.
Make it anything with an unknown variable that you do math to find and bam, algebra.

Fuel economy used to be how you knew your shit wasn't running right. In the before times.

Diagnosing a broken down truck? Algebra.
In your head, you start with spark, then what's easiest, then before fuel to check compression since you got plugs out already, etc.

Do you get any of that bank paid on retirement? That's something that we have to address at our next negotiations. A recent retiree that spent her entire career at our district had a ridiculous amount saved and wanted paid out on it. We have a very low cap on payout at retirement and that is now causing some discussion among the staff to raise the cap.

Yeah, I accrue one day every calendar month/pay check (we get paid once a month).

I am in the California retirement system for teachers CSTRS and you can use your hours/days that you have banked as service time towards retirement. I am not really sure how getting paid out on it would work or even if they do that.

When the wife has cancer, I used a lot of that time to take care of her, out of town appointments, etc. I still have more time that I would probably ever use outside of a major health issue.

Now, if you want to make school a year round deal I'd consider paying more.
My grandfather was a teacher and principal, worked at Sears in the summers.
My mother and father in law were both teachers, worked a farm in the summers.

I worked Alaska with a teacher
he would take his 3 months and double his yearly salary

but he wasn't a professional victim like most teachers are
