Not sure what you’re getting at. At my office job I often feel like I’m selling my soul. Not because I’m doing anything immoral or anything, but because I feel like I’m squandering time for nothing but money.

I think we’re all hookers at the most basic level. Just some of us have negotiated better pay for a different type of screwing.

When I did field work checking sites on mountain tops, that was it for me. Because that was the same thing I used look forward to do on my weekends when I did the corporate grind. Go up dirt roads to the top of mountain, take in view, take pics, enjoy it. All of a sudden I was being paid to do it, and this time I had the keys and codes to get past the locks that used to make me turn around.:smokin:

Inside of the court room, 24-year-old Payton Shires was emotional as the judge read her charges.
On top of her previous accusations, Shires is now looking at two counts of felony intimidation.

Prosecutors say that, just days ago, she showed up at the home of the 13-year-old's family with a gun. Shires was threatening to kill herself, blaming the family for "ruining her life." This happened in the wake of Shires posting bond earlier this month.

A judge has since revoked Shires's bond, meaning that she will be behind bars at least until her next court appearance, scheduled for Nov. 6.

The original investigation into her began after the boy's mom reportedly found text messages between Shires and her son, who she was assigned to for counseling.

Those messages allegedly included asking if the boy had deleted the videos and if the mom had seen them.

Investigators executed a search warrant on the phone given by the mom, discovering a video of the social worker and boy having intercourse. Detectives wrote that the boy told police they had sex at least twice in various places in Columbus.

Court documents state police then held a "controlled three-way call" with the mother, detectives and Shires. Detectives said Shires admitted to the sexual relationship during the call.

State records said her license was issued on June 12, 2023, and expires in 2025. She formerly worked for the National Youth Advocate Program, according to police.
