I had a nun talk about premarital sex once.

She explained that when the concept was introduced girls got married at 13-14. It made sense and fell in line with natural changes in hormones.

When we pushed marriage further and further back, it made less and less sense. It became a battle against nature.

If you believe abuse is abuse despite culture, abuse may be a point, but it's not.

Age of consent is 100% cultural (and even then not standard among all 50 states)

And what you are talking about is rape BY STATUTE (hence the name, statutory rape) Not the same in any means as rape by force.

Rape by force should be a death penalty offense. Rape by statute, should be an ass whippin to the point of hospitalization carried out by the victims family.

(and none of this should be confused with pedophilia which should be death penalty)

My son asked at 17 if he could get something to mark his best friend dying after being hit by road debris through the windshield. I had no problem, in the end he never settled on anything, but the shop was ok with it when we explained the situation.

Locally it was a big deal.

Let him get a sticker for his car window. I think that is stupid also, but he won’t be driving the car for long.

Yes, this should not be aloud until they are of age. I’m fine with face painting. They can paint their face like this every day. No need to make it permanent till later.

We talked about it at length, His plan was something small, but in the end he never found or could create something he liked and backed away from it.
Thanksgiving is still a tough time.

Yea, but that world is gone. I don’t mind if they want to continue it. Just do it less permanent until they are of age. There are also some Muslim customs that mutilate girls. If they want it after they are of age, who am I to argue?

Im ok with this, but I’m not sure you can fix an age for that. When a 16 year old (girl or boy) sleeps with their teacher willingly, I think it’s more likly to ruin the teachers life than the kids. I think it would be appropriate to fire them and that’s that. Jail is a bit much.

I don’t have an opinion on what those adults do. It’s only if they are abusing their children permanently that I see a problem. I don’t mind a parent wiping their kid, but if they permanently scar them or break a limb, there’s an issue. There’s got to be a line.

What happens if both participants are under age, like 15 years old? Should they both be charged with statutory rape?
