We have one more day of vacation left, plus one day of driving home. We’ve been to this lake at least a dozen times between snowmobile trips and summer/fall trips. I’d live here in a heartbeat if I could afford it.

In. Lazy day today, didn't feel great breathing this am so it set stage for doing nothing. Should have went to the airshow but caught a bit of it when I stopped by to check on my parents house. Chillin is taking a nice nap so wife and I took advantage of it. 🌶️

Trying to figure out how one minute my roof AC isblowing straight on me the next it's not.
Our new trailer has AC vents in the ceiling. I installed a “slow start “ unit in the roof AC and fired it up for the first time since we’ve owned it (except for the walk through at the dealership). Some vents blow great, others barely at all. I’m tempted to buy one of those inspection scopes to see what’s going on.

In. Busy day.
Started off the day finishing up my 6.5G build. Tried to swap the mil spec dust cover for a Timber Creek FDE cover, but it has a different detent ball design, and the pin is knurled, no C clip. So I put back to original.
Hour of working on our silks doubles routine at the gym.
Did the 300hr service on my tractor. Oil, Hyd oil, all filters, and belt adjust.
Then my boy and I blocked and split a cord of firewood.
Now for a ribeye and a whiskey sour.

In went car shopping laughed at the price of a 2025 sorrento. Tried to tell me 800 a month is a good deal I nope the fuck out. Picked up pizza for us now laying in bed for an early start.
My mom asked how much those Telluride's of theirs are, when I told her $900 a month she damn near fell off the chair she was sitting in.

Got up way too early so I had my coffee out on the deck while it was cool enough out there. It was smokey as all get out and pretty soon we had us a parade of water bombers passing overhead, turns out the fire is a pretty decent size maybe 100 miles south of me as the crow flies. I had a little friend join me for coffee, only one this morning when usually we have a swarm of em.

GF is making up a pot of chili and some tacos for dinner, lookin' forward to it and some decent rack time.

Went and mowed the lake property, mowed it twice because it had grown exponentially in the past two weeks .

Making smash burgers now . Carmelized onions , candied bacon , patties , brioche buns, fresh tomatoes , fresh sweet corn , should be good stuff !!

Go stand under a vent and A/C is pretty cold and high volume. Right where I sit is near the main outlet and it is OK cool but it feelsw like its has an fan moving back and forth.
Bought a short fish tap to clean furnace ducts for this winter

We haven’t spent much time out on the deck because of life, and the heat. I’ve been putting out hummingbird feeders for a couple years. We have four birds as far as I can tell that are regular visitors. They aren’t quite sure what to do with us being outside
If they are like mine, they fight with each other and occasionally post up like they want to fight me! Then they reconsider. Lol

Had big plans to finally wrench on the jeep today.

Was cruising marketplace last night, made a deal, went and grabbed a jewel of a trailer fo the son to use as tiny home. It was mostly gutted, we worked on it a bit this afternoon. Blank slate with some minor rot, but with a newer roof.

2005 FEMA unit.

Its temp parked where we can redo the interior, we'll build a pad up the hill here in a few weeks and tie it into the utilities.

Washed and waxed the truck, took it for a drive to go look at some open house the wife wanted to see. $1.8m pile of shit house. I wouldn't have paid for the land let alone the absolute disaster sitting on it.

Had dinner, hopped in the sim rig for the 2md time in 5 weeks (surgery) and now watching 1883, steeling myself for the horrors of the work week to come.
