I found a dealer with a MSRP allocation, ordered it, and had it about 3 months later.

They are pretty easy to get now, your buddy needs to look around more.

I found mine on a Facebook group for Z06s

I can only think he has some special options he is really keen on.

Think this order may be through Purifoy in Denver and I know they have MSRP allocation already for at least 6 months

I doubt it, I have been in the groups and forums for the Z for a while, there have been some periods where some options were limited but not anything that would stop him from getting one for this long.

Either his dealer is jerking him around or he is BS'ing you.

I ordered this one with a ton of options this year and got it pretty quickly, this was a $160k MSRP one.

The Z07 aero was hard to get for a bit ( I have it) but not much else.

My guess is his dealer only got a few allocations and sold those for over MSRP and keep telling him that his allocation is delayed due to (insert BS lie here).
