Sore Dick Deals

A little late notice since the 30% off coupon ends today, but HF has the 13 piece Pittsburg impact socket sets in metric or SAE on clearance for $8.49 and the 30% coupon works on them, bringing them down to $5.94. Ended up going back and getting another 2 of each - one for the tool kit in the daily and one for my wheeling rig's kit. Pretty hard to beat for under $6.

That probably means they're gonna EOL those guys in favor of "the same shit but branded Icon and 400% more money". :shaking:

I think they're moving over to Quiinn, which is kind of their intermediate line. I did also notice that the Quinn shallow impacts were empty on the rack with a "new product coming soon" sign over them.

FWIW, I picked up the Quinn low profile impacts when they came out and really like them. Not a deal as far as this thread goes, but they're pretty sweet. One of those things you probably don't need every day, but super handy when you do.

I knew I should have checked this thread before I left work🤦🏻‍♂️ there’s a HF on my way home. I’ll see if they still have em tomorrow.

Mine side "back wall" for the location. I assumed that mean the clearance area but I ended up finding handing above the pneumatic tools. Could also be why other people hadn't found them yet.

This week HF has 40% off ICON ratchets for ITC members.

I've been using their ICON comfort grip ratchets and they're decent. At 40% off I'm not sure anyone would complain about them.

So I picked up a few specialty versions:

Went to go get the metric impact sockets. Computer said they had 3 in stock. They couldn’t find them 🙄

Either on the clearance rack or over by the pneumatic tools where I found mine.

2 different HF stores showing in stock for the metric sockets. Neither were 🙄
Saw where they were at the store today, going back to the other I went to yesterday
Edit: no luck

I've seen mixed feelings on these in general from a few YouTube videos I've watched reviewing them, but if you're thinking about one this is sort of a no-brainer price.

The Shop bought one (after basically destroying their tractor trailer sized paint booth) and have used it a couple times inside the shop. The main issues are lighting (from being inside a poorly lit shop) and that it seems nearly impossible to clean out. As soon as you use it once, the overspray that turns to dust is everywhere due to the static cling of the fabric and then you're trying to deal with that. I see people setting it up outside, which would help with the lighting issue but adds the complexity of breeze/wind and the possibility of rain since it needs to stay inflated until the paint dries (both issues I've seen in videos). Also, tripping a breaker can be an excitement (another "seen on video" issue).

TODAY ONLY - Eastwood SCT for $99. That's half price and $50 cheaper than the Harbor Freight version.

To be faaaair. That one only comes with one finish drum. The HF comes with a finishing and a stripping drum. The stripping one alone is $40 at HF or $50 at Eastwood. Technically, with Eastwood's $18 shipping, the HF is a better deal at normal price if you have a local store. Should be able to catch it on sale or with a coupon and it'd be even better.

you almost got me. but then I realized I don't have anywhere to put it in the new garage and I'm better off leaving all my drill bits in a portable case

Have to put the promo code in when you get to the billing section.

And don't live in Alaska, shipping problem solved :flipoff2:

It was $37.09 shipped to my house after putting the code in.
Never seen a promo code thing before on Amazone, took me a while to find it.

The numbered sizes are probably less useful than fractional sizes, but you could easily make up your own labels for whatever you needed.

Vevor has the same cabinets listed for $36.99 each, and you can pick alternate label versions if you want them, also shipped free. Says the deal is for 24 more hours on the listing.

20% off for itc the best deal for the next month? Going to pick up a 44 and a scaffold but they aren’t super time sensitive but need them both by the end of the month.

Probably the best you'll do on the tool box. The better coupons usually exclude them. Unless they happen to put out a specific coupon on the scaffold, you probably won't do much better on it either.

Scaffold is almost worth dealing with marketplace for what you can save if you’re patient and also the first one to show up with cash in hand.

If you can find a coupon that applies to the 44, do that. Then when it shows up dented, ask the manager for a deal and they’ll work with you. At least That’s how my ‘good deals, became ‘great deals’…
