Sore Dick Deals

I kind of have a sore dick over the $20 light from Sunday. It’s actually kind of cool. Also the Apache cases. I couldn’t think of a reason to buy them and store them besides
‘it’s on sale’ so I passed.

I only had a cheap husky one before. Hopefully these are as amazing as I anticipate.

TBH I'm sure they are nicer than they look, but damn to me don't those look like the dollar store shit pliers that are so tight you can't open them with 1 hand.

they need a little branding etch on the face or something to make them look less cheap. and yes, I get the irony of my statement :flipoff2:

Gearwrench is supposed to have a good warranty. Fill out their online page, submit a picture, and get a new one in the mail for free. I haven't had to do it yet but I haven't heard anything bad about it from trusted sources
I had a gear wrench product that wouldn't reverse. Warranty process was painless. Take a pic, fill out the claim online, they contact you for what is wrong, new wrench showed up in the mail pretty quickly afterwards.

I've been waiting over a month for a warranty claim.

Interesting. I think I have two wrenches (out of over 100) that are broken or at least not quite acting right. Never knew where to warranty them so they just sit in my box. Guess I need to dig them out and take some pics.

Rumor is a 10% no exclusions (20 for ITC) at HF for memorial day weekend should be out later this week.

Trying to decide what I need for 20% off now
I got the grant steam cleaner. Not a huge savings but in testing it so far is pretty handy for 32 bucks

Thinking about trying the roadshock lights on the burb, but they are spendy for each even with coupon.

I thought Amazon wasn’t reliable for real Milwaukee tools?
Hackzall is $199 at HD with (2) 5.0 batteries
I would be Leary of that seeing as it’s not an authorized seller and seeing how many fakes and how good they are getting on the market now.

I already have one so don't need one, just passing along the deal Honey emailed me. It's got 5.5K reviews, 97% 4 or 5 star, some are probably bots, but I did a search for "fake" and "counterfeit" in the reviews, only one hit with those key words, and that reviewer claims it's 100% legit.

I've bought plenty of Milwaukee stuff off Amazon and eBay, mostly M12, if any of them are fake, they're damn good fakes.

I'm not worried about sending something back to Amazon, and eBay's customer protection is maybe even better. Buy it, don't buy it, tell your imaginary friends on the internet about your trepidation and secretly buy it anyway, whatever floats your boat, you do you.

It's a good time to get those things that rarely go on sale. With an ITC membership:
Just some ideas.

EDIT: I was looking at things on the Harbor Freight website on Thursday after hearing rumors of the 20% sale. The Titanium welding table was in stock at my two local stores. In getting the links above, it is sold out this morning at both stores.

The other question is whether they are an "authorized distributor" if you have issues that require a warranty. I've had two DeWalt items I had to warranty and provide an invoice. I bought from Fasteners Inc. and Murdoch's - both of which are authorized distributors - and had no problems. I've heard of people having warranties denied after buying from Amazon or eBay.

The last time I warrantied a Milwaukee item they didn't even ask for an invoice, apparently they have ways to date check things even when the serial number is missing which is good since I almost always wear the labels off the sides of mine. I think they caught enough shit over not fixing things that they changed the process.

I did have them deny my warranty for exactly that reason though years ago.

This jack will be $250 on sale June 7-9 for everyone, just FYI.

Spent $45 on a 2 year ITC membership yesterday, saved $70 on the 1k hydraulic lift table with the 20% off. Debating on going back to get a Predator 79cc engine for my wheeled trimmer that has a pos old style B&S engine on it. Predator always seems to be an excluded item so maybe I will.

Good to know. I also know when things show up on the sale flyer or coupons they tend to sell out faster than something like this where people have to think about what to buy and how much they'll save. Disclaimer: I got mine back at the 25% off removed exclusions in the Christmas/New Year season.

Picked up the Predator tiller yesterday after fielding the what to buy question to the woman and that was the only thing she could come up with that we had a need for

I am seriously considering the lift table/cart as I used the stores to put the tiller in my truck and it was nice not having to wrestle the thing up there

I've had the 500# one for years and it comes in handy - also as an adjustable height work table.

I swear they used to sell one with double scissors for extra height. I have a feeling they got rid of it for the liability of people doing stupid things, but there are others out there like that.

It's been on my to-do list for some time to make a second scissors for mine for more versatility.

Needed to get a battery. Batteries Plus gives you a $10 discount for ordering online and picking up. I put the battery in my cart, but then went to another browser tab to check on something. When I came back, it had a "don't go yet" popup and offered me a 15% discount code - which stacked with the $10 discount:

Got one a couple years ago. One of those tools you forget about but use all the time. Considered getting a second one and putting knobbies on it for wheeling between the garage and shop (gravel)

I bought one several years ago for storing and loading my 4th axis on the mil. I never set up the 4th axis so it's just been a really expensive storage shelf for it.

Most of the HF stores around here will use them for lifting and loading heavier items in to your truck. Pretty handy for that.

Now that would be useful!

Hmmm... Since I have a 500#, if I bought a 1000#, which one would be better for "off-road" use? And I'd probably do the double scissor on the "shop use" to limit stability issues.

I'm surprised more people don't think of this. If you see a deal on gift cards for a place you normally shop, buy them and you then get a discount on anything you'd buy from there. When I first started doing it, you saw 15~20% off Black Friday, Memorial Day, or July 4th. Now 10% off seems to be about the max, but it is still a 10% discount on things you're regularly buying anyway. Also, they automatically "stack," so if you're buying something on sale using the gift cards you're getting an extra 10% off on top of the sale price.

The local grocery store has a gift card deal every week - buy a card and get 10~15x the price of the card in gas points. Having a vehicle with a tank larger than 25 gallons (the maximum purchase my grocery store allows for rewards points) means I use the maximum discount. If you only have something with a 14 gallon tank, you're leaving money on the table. So $100 GC gets me 1000 points = $1 off per gallon = $25 savings = 25% off a Lowes GC.

I'm typically at Lowes about every month for something, so buying Lowes cards is a no-brainer when they're available.
