What's new

So I had an afternoon nap on Sunday…

Maybe not similar but maybe it is.

Maybe 6 or 7 times in the last 20 years my GF has had a weird kinda sleepwalking event where she will have a 10 or 15 min conversation (well not really) with me then go back to bed and not remember a bit of it when she wakes up.

The difference is she is speaking in a foreign language or it sure sounds like it but she is an English speaker and that's it Sometimes it's Russian sometimes French and last time it was German. I hope to one day get it on video to see if it really is another language or just sounds like one, I want her to see herself too because she thinks I am FOS when I tell her about it.

So when I "woke up" in the hospital after my run in with the police last year, I was mid sentence with my Mrs. and mom. Same thing when the Mrs. came home and found me drunk for the last time before she quit on the marriage. It was like I was turned on, but couldn't control the buttons.

Been to several fire calls just like you’re describing. Wife calls on husband because he was talking, and completely checked out all at the same time.

Make Dr. appt. It obviously isn’t normal.

Irate has legitimately just become a chat board of boomers who wheeled once upon a time but now spend their days getting scammed on the phone, complaining about bowel issues, or describing having a stroke. Lord knows how many @aol.com addresses were used to register usernamers here.

All the damn kids left and joined the face book.

Just turned 61. Otherwise perfect health for my age
could be a mini stroke. get checked by the doc. I had a friend who had a few episodes like that, then had a major stroke, then passed. He could have likely avoided that had he gotten attention.

How many times we gonna do this thread? "My girlfriend poisoned me, I fell off a ladder and landed on my head, I punctured an eyeball and can't hear much, but I'm gonna sleep it off and see if I wake up dead."

:homer:

RIP, OP. Called it ahead of time.

Fack, its my spam email now.

This forum is wild. Everything from paying for a guy to steal your unimog 7 years ago to having a stroke and ignoring it because you're a healthy young 60+ year old.
:lmao: Don't forget $1400 truck payments and campers being driven out of SLC.

Don't forget about the narks collecting information :flipoff2:

Ever been checked for sleep apnea? If you have apnea and sleep wrong you can wake in a dissociative fugue state and not remember what happens for a period of time. Something else to get checked for. It used to happen to my dad when he'd fall asleep in his recliner. You could have a conversation with him and he wouldnt remember

Same with the VA

Taken any meds you haven’t before? My wife took mucinex once with the expectorant, not just the decongestant. We were at the hotel in the restaurant eating breakfast and all the sudden she asks me “how did we get here” she didn’t remember anything after goin to bed the night before.

Oh, jeeze that's scary. She isn't the type to lie or joke about something like that.

Zero meds. I take no prescription drugs at all. The only meds I take are the occasional Advil for the aches and pains that come with being 61 years old and still doing a physical job (finishing carpenter). Hell, very seldom get headaches, like maybe a couple per year at most.
I was taking Vitamin D for the last few years to control psoriasis but stopped about 3-4 months ago to see of my skin would remain clear.

I'm guessing you have no clue what your blood pressure and cholesterol numbers are.
