Shit has been going wrong for me most of the day. Shit for others not so much.

Son decided to drive my dad's (now his) 93 Trans Am home... Serviced everything, fixed AC, replaced starter, new tires, new brakes.... but he made it to 250 miles home with no incident.

Flooded my crawl space, missed out on a trailer on FBMP I was gonna get tomorrow.

Now I am waiting on a friend who I though would show up this evening, but now won't be here until tomorrow morning.

Trying to rebuild my compressor, but the unloader for the HP side is too sticky and now I need to bother a machinist friend to make it right. LP side is fine.

Gonna start on daquiries when the GF gets here ~6pm.

Today was Founders Day local holiday, generally held just before 4th of July or on it if 4th is on a Saturday. Used to be a parade, my buddies and I would show up with our work 4x4s some guy trailered in his 60s Chev with crome diffs on 32s our smalleist tire was 37, of course his had a prety red pant job and our's were rock scared dented, and loud. He got best 4x4 every year but we had fun throwing candy to the kids and chirping our tires in 4 low, or driving up on each others front tire. Chief of police was always yelling at us for that one!
I didn't even go today I haven't for years, there used to be a blacksmith who set up and other crafts, then at night they had a concert of little known singers and cowboy story tellers, but all the folks who used to set it up have passed away
Today our mayor had pride day in the park

Was in last night, just tired,In today.
Did have a God does love me event today. Gas tank strap on 05 chevy broke , got gm straps. replaced broke today. Looking at bolt head I'd a bet money that it would round or break off. Came out slick, new strap went right in. I am Blessed....at times.

Neighbors have been having a party all day or setting up for it, so I didn't bother them by mowing the lawn. Maybe tonight or tomorrow.
Did mine this morning should be the last time until spring cause it’s dry now. :lmao:

Except for the green spots of crab grass. :homer:

Got to cut it before the neighbors start flinging mortars and bottle rockets next week. And fuck doing any yard work next week. :mad3::eek:

Our dog is some kind of sick. A bit lethargic and breathing heavy, not eating much. Was at the vet 2 days ago and they said he had an upper respiratory infection, gave him cough meds and antibiotics.

Of course we've got almost $1k of non refundable out of state event tickets for tomorrow, and the wife is freaking out wanting to take the dog in to the emergency room. She called around and everybody has a 4-10hr wait to be seen.. so if we take him in, there goes tomorrow too. Argh.

Personally I think he'll be fine and Monday morning is just as good of an option as a Saturday evening...(Edit: oof, that didn't age well)

This one is an aluminum shuttle about 1.5" long and 1" diameter... (#6 is the shuttle unloader)

It is either too big or the hole in the valve body (#2) is deformed from heat and time.

that looks somewhat like an older quincy (before they went to diaphragms instead of pistons)
#6 should be the piston
if it is stuck, I guess you can't get at #2 to remove it and push it out from underneath
is #2 threaded into a four bolt flange like it is on a quincy? you can pull that off and take the whole mess off the head to get it apart if it is, #2 just clamps the plate valve body into the head

Maybe you could cut tabs on the end of a piece of tube that'll engage the two slots in #2 and fit over #6 so you can unscrew it

<snip>. And fuck doing any yard work next week. :mad3::eek:

Looks like standard Sacramento summer. Glad I got the fuck out of there 10+ years ago. Still hot up the hill but not THAT hot.

I spent most of the day out in the heat and ended up downing three gatorade bottles of water. Now it is relax with the 9 kittens(ie feedings)

Tomorrow will be a small grocery run then up on the roof in prep for Starlink. Plus some quick dirty chainsaw stair treads. I'm debating a trip off the hill next week but dealing with Tahoe holiday traffic makes me say no.

I'm starting to try and match some 'old' laminate so I can extend it a bit(~300 square feet) but I'm not sure what store is really going to help me. This is 'thicker' laminate that I'm not sure HD carries. It'll be cheaper for me to relace shit carpet with laminate rather than 'big money' carpet allowance on the sale house. Mostly trying to work on 'curb appeal' to get the fucker to sell quicker.

This morning was an early visit to see mom, Freeway traffic sucked for a Saturday took over an hr. so we hauled through the canyon and had lunch at Cook Corner, Burgers and a pitcher of beer. with some live music made for a nice day out.

Then in for the day dodging the heat.

Well you have lots of pussy to hang out with, which is nice.

Broke every quick disconnect on the old fuel lines on the 6.7, then didn’t have the right tool to pull the fan. Was sweatin my ass off, so I quit that and moved to the next project, cool dude held a FBMP 2 post lift for me, so I now own a 9k 2 post lift. Was a bitch loading it by hand, and 20 minutes with the skid steer once I got it home. Just poured a huge highball and grilling a tri-tip steak, while watching Southwick SX. Gotta go pick up a commercial meat grinder and sausage stuffer in the morning and hopefully finish the truck DCR conversion.
