I use a solid one pice cast iron hitch.
No welds to fail, no bolts to come loose.

The receiver will be ripped from the truck before anything happens to it

Or it will bend, I bent my 20k lb rated 2.5" forged ball mount on my work truck

Anything can fail. Although I agree that style is probably the best bet if you're paranoid.
