What's new

Sick of Amazon shipping lies, or pretty much any retailer anymore.

Felony? Lol...I think maybe you're ready for a break from the internet for the day.

You choose not to do business with the federal government by moving elsewhere, just as you would do with any state government. Are you really that fucking stupid?
You wouldn't be old Poop pipe now would you? :flipoff2:

Aren't you the wvjeepbuilder from the old place?

Karma? If you believed in Karma, then where is it for companies like Amazon?
So you try to take the moral high ground with Amazon, after admitting that you spent 800 dollars with them. How much have you spent buying other items from them before you decided to become a common thief?

Trying to justify it shows you have some sort of conscience, but, you're still just a piece of shit thief.

This thread is shaping up to be a fun one. :smokin:

No, we're sticking up for honor and integrity. It doesn't matter who you stole from.
Unless it's the government.

If you've ever worked a day in your life odds are they've stolen more from you.

I like to think I vindicated one of their workers that had to piss in a bottle because they wouldn't let them go to the bathroom.
Don't wanna piss in a bottle don't sign up for a delivery driver job. They're pretty much all like that.

you committed a felony.
Typical cop bluffing. :lmao:

Just because you can throw a shit charge at the wall doesn't mean it'll stick.

Rationalizing your thievery by pointing the finger at Amazon. Classy and you don't realize you're the thing you complain about.

If you're so morally superior to Amazon, why were they even an option for you to purchase the clutch from?
Only place that had it in stock during covid.

I got my last clutch kit and flywheel for free from Amazon. They delivered it as normal, but kept sending me emails saying "sorry your delivery has been delayed" and the shipping website never showed it delivered. After a couple of weeks, I called them and they said "yeah, don't know what happened to your delivery but we can either refund it or send you another". I told them to refund and I would buy locally.

$800 back to me :smokin:

They did that earlier this spring with a boiler pump. I ended up with 3 of them... one I bought at Home Depot when I couldn't wait any longer, the original I ordered off Amazon and another they sent to replace the lost one.

Contacted customer service about it and it was nearly as bad as trying to explain Alegbra to my dog. Just went in circles over it and I gave up. Still shows "in transit".

Sorta like a sledge hammer that arrived as an empty box with a big hole. Post office included a letter saying it was lost due to shit packing.
Amazon wanted me to go around to my neighbors to see if they got it. I picked it up at the post office in town, 20 mins away, post office doesn't deliver packages.

Omg get ready for people to call you a thief!!!!!!

Seriously though, on the PC parts sub-Reddits I use, this is a very common thing. People are always getting the same part shipped to them more than once. Something to do with Amazon's algorithms.

Back on topic:
Another practice I hate is when it says "get it by XXX if you order within XXX," but when you checkout, the date (still showing "XXX" at that time) suddenly changes to "YYY" or "ZZZ" after checkout, then they don't even try to ship it before "XXX." If I wanted it by "YYY" or "ZZZ," I would have selected those options. Had I known it would not be shipped in time for "XXX," I would have bought it locally.

Occasionally I just go buy locally and then immediately return it as "product didn't arrive in time" and in the comments enter "Amazon said it would be here by "XXX" at checkout, then changed it to "YYY" or "ZZZ." I needed it by "XXX," so I purchased it elsewhere, where I could get it by "XXX" as initially promised."

There's a big difference....he tried. You don't see that?

Granted I've gotten shit doubled shipped from them. Sometimes they tell me to keep it and sometimes they send me a shipping label to return but, they choice is up to them.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Yep, exactly. Had that happen as well.

Deceitful. It is wrong.

maybe it is just me, but I don't remember it always being like this.

Guy I work with buys tons of stuff there, usually has it next day. He loves them. Greatest place EVER!

Are we really sticking up for Amazon now? One of the most corrupt businesses in the world? A company that grew 37% due to covid and was the recipient of the largest upward transfer of wealth in human history? A company that sponsors laws to hurt small businesses because it eliminates competition?

Yeah...please try to preach some morality to me. I beg you.
If anything you just fucked the workers at the warehouse over harder there robin hood. In fulfillment one of their metrics is if the customer actually got the product, this would show up red on their metrics and then more pressure is put on them to problem solve and fix that. Way to go.

This irritates me as well, see it a bunch on the way to the Amazon checkout.

Also their analytics have gotten all screwy. I actually liked them before - I would go on Az website, search for something but can't find it. Over the next few days/weeks I get Az emails "heyyyyy, seems you were looking for something. Is this it?" And most times they suggested something I actually was looking for and I bought it.
Now, I'll search for, let's say, a front receiver hitch for a 2008 F350, then start getting emails with suggestions for front hitches for GM trucks. I have my vehicles saved in Az and there isnt a single GM vehicle in the stable.

I trust Amazon's shipping date estimates about as much as I trust Lowes/Home Depot's online inventory. Nothing more than a guess at best. Usually a bit late, sometimes earlier than promised. Got a notice recently from Amazon on an item saying they werent sure when it could be delivered, but could be a month or two longer and I could opt for a refund. Didnt need it right away, so let it ride. Showed up 2 days later. Also had my share of wrong shipments that Amazon told me to keep it and they would ship the right thing immediately.

Amazon isnt perfect. But more reliable than others, ie Walmart ebay etc. I just learned to plan and purchase for 2 or 3 projects ahead. It shows up whenever it does and goes on the shelf until I am ready for it. Sure, I would prefer everything to show up next day, but the tradeoff is selection. I live BFE so local selection options suck with a capital S. I can find nearly any obscure item I need on Amazon and just build in the ship delay in my planning. A decade ago it would have been ebay, but that place has really screwed itself up on complexity and fees. 10 years from now, I suspect there will be a different place for getting stuff, probably run by AI.

Mother in law ordered a generator from amazon. It showed up on time, in great condition. Pretty surprised you can order something that big/heavy from them. The issue? She decided she wanted a bigger one and ordered it instead, called Amazon and they told her to keep the old one. A brand spanking new Westinghouse 9500 dual fuel. because they didn't want to deal with shipping it back to warehouse She gave it to me 6 months ago. I sold it to a buddy last night, split profits with MIL and bought a new to me glock. Pretty damn good deal in my opinion. The difference is, she didn't just lie and steal it. She wanted to ship it back and they said no thanks. Huge difference.

Wait, weren’t we all supposed to be boycotting Amazon since they are run by evil democrat loving Jeff Bezos? And now you’re ready to lynch someone over Amazon sucking at the logistics portion of their business?
Are you legit retarded? The issue folks are taking is with a member's actions when presented with Amazon's fuck up: be honest or not.

The target of theft and fraud is irrelevant to whether or not theft and fraud are OK. Whether you're raping a convicted killer or a sainted nun doesn't affect your rapist status.

Their job is to make sure the packages get delivered. They didn’t do that. They aren’t paying me to do their job for them, they can get fucked. I’m not going to do your job for you either without compensation, Boy Scout.

Multi billion dollar corporation that fucked up, he didn’t knock over a granny and run off with her purse:lmao:
All of that is external to your integrity (if you have any).

Wait, weren’t we all supposed to be boycotting Amazon since they are run by evil democrat loving Jeff Bezos? And now you’re ready to lynch someone over Amazon sucking at the logistics portion of their business? Did you check with your n overlords on twitter before deciding on this course of action? Lord knows you wouldn’t want to miss direct your outrage here:lmao::lmao::lmao:
No, these bunch of retards stay so outraged over everything that they can't even remember whose side they're on.

My integrity applies to my dealings with living, breathing human beings with names and families. I’m not bending over backwards to return a penny to a modern day railroad tycoon who neither realizes or cares he dropped it.
Huh, I didn't realize honestly answering a question was "bending over backwards" :homer:

No, these bunch of retards stay so outraged over everything that they can't even remember whose side they're on.
It seems to me the folks with whom you disagree on this subject are consistent in their values.
You seem to expect them to "be cool" with theft and fraud in a different context. That's unlikely.

Maybe PM weeviltwat - wallet thieves might be sympathetic to your values.

I Never worked there
but I have never worked at a place that the workers can't just walk out the door when ever they wanted
I do know a few that are working their way through school, insurance starts the second you step in the door, that is pretty neat

I always root for the guy that came from nothing and made it
one car garage to shooting his friends into outer space is the American Dream in my book
good for him, every time I order something I am happy to be buying some fuel for the next adventure

they guy changed the way the world shops, and I like not having to deal with the public

and you stole your car parts

Sorry, I'm not on the side of receiving a expensive item, then claiming I never received it, then asking for a return while keeping the expensive item. Because it was stolen from a billion dollar business versus a family run local shop doesn't make it not stealing. Spin it any way you want, your a thief. You can talk all the internet shit you want, but in the end, your just a thief. Wonder what else you have stolen and justified over the years. You should put a bumper sticker on your rig, "Stolen Parts Built, Not Bought".

riddle me this, caped crusader. Did the lackey in the call center ever ask him “hey was this delivered?”, or did they just contact him and say “hey we can’t find the shipment, would you like a refund or for us to ship it out again?”
I get it, you're pro-shitbag as long as the shitbag's victim is sufficiently unlikeable.

You do you Scotty P., but don't try to obfuscate the cut-and-dry truth of the matter :homer:

You know what the right thing to do is. He didn't do it. Fuck the semantics, already.

He’s not going to lose any sleep over it, I’m not going to lose any sleep over it, the call center guy ain’t going to lose any sleep either. But you will, and that is absolutely comical to me:lmao:
Why would I lose any sleep over someone else being a piece of shit? You're high on glue :homer:

I seriously hope you go back inside to pay for the singular onion ring that ends up in your fries whenever you stop for lunch at BK, otherwise that’s theft since you’re taking advantage of the workers mistakes. They probably take the cost of that onion ring out of his pay check:lmao:
Hmmm, yes, more hypotheticals & rationalization - it's obvious this doesn't bother you at all
