What's new

Sick of Amazon shipping lies, or pretty much any retailer anymore.

Same. Pretty sure the driver just hates speed bump and drives around with his boxes in the truck for a few extra days just to spite him.
Could be, I guess I can bitch or just do what I have been doing for the last 2 years which is not buy from Amazon if I actually need it in a reliable time frame.

I will toss in the caveat that I never order something that isn't at least shipped by Amazon and generally stay away from things that aren't sold by amazon.

Buying shit third party through Amazon is basically just buying from that places own website. Their return policies. shipping, etc.

Never had better service than from Amazon including some family who own businesses!! :lmao:

I never had much issues with an "amazon sale WHEN SOLD AND SHIPPED BY AMAZON " But thats nearly impossible for me to do....
I used to be able to get shit here delivered @1/2 cost compared to the price in town :mad3:

i dumped amazon prime a couple years ago because i got mad at there bullshit shipping lies. I havent bought anything from there since then be using ebay since it takes the time for shipping anyways. Fuck Amazon

I had to shut down 3 paypall / epay accounts for security reasons.

In town seems to be beating the annoying feature of Amazon to me. The ONLY stupid thing I had happen locally is online shipping to a store require me to mail it back to the store…until even the employees thought that was stupid and helped me out.

Very true. I’ve price checked a few and ordered from their website. They use amazing to reach a larger audience.

I actually found a part from a local company and had them mail it to me. Amazon lists all kinds of companies selling stuff so I started researching one. Turns out he’s running it from his apartment and they’ve been in town a few years. I never would have known since they don’t have a storefront, and I don’t know how to find local businesses anymore.

Def faster & cheaper to buy direct from ruffstuff than thru bezos

My current 1st world problems.
Super duty has a pooched locking hub, ordered one off Amazon, arrived quick but was broken. The box was very skimpy, took a hit which broke a plastic part of the hub. No prob, start the return and order another. Tracking shows it made it to my town and ...poof...vanished into thin air.
I want to send Amazon an email saying that for the first time they are losing a sale from me. I want to buy from them but since they are now using some 3rd world, cut rate courier (intelcom) that lacks the proper infrastructure to get the product to me, I am willingly paying more to get the same item from outside Canada (Rock Auto) and that Amazon will no longer be my 'goto'.
Just like the mom and pops, then the malls, then the big box stores...Amazon has had its time in the sun and the shine is starting to fade.

If you got a postal outlet near you/actual post office, use that as your alternate delivery address. Not everything will ship to it, but you do not need to set up a po box or anything with the post office. Just be aware that if intelicom serves your area your deliveries will take longer to process because the amazons wants you to use intelicom.

I get 90% of my amazon stuff faster than forecasted - not prime either.

Once in a while there's an item that never ships. Sometimes theres email warning asking of i want to wait or cancel. Sometimes just cancelled. Other times in vanishes from my order history withput a trace. Credit card doesn't get charged either way.

Yeah they have some serious Bs going with that. Put an item in the cart and select delivery to my house - 3 days (via intelcom so maybe it shows, maybe doesn't). Switch to pickup at the PO and delivery in 1.5 WEEKS. I was picking up at the PO for a while but that place has gotten really busy because lots of other people doing the same

You guys know about the Amazon lockers right?

I'm up in the mountains and shipping here always takes an extra day or two.

I can buy something right now and it will be delivered to the locker down in Loveland CO tomorrow. Some stuff may even show up tomorrow morning.

:flipoff:
Scamazon
I keep getting shitty service.
Cannot get anything from the local retailers so internet sales it is....

Amazon getting WAY worse on shipping?

I ordered some flat face couplers on 20 Nov and needed one today. Check to see what's the deal and it says arrival on Tuesday, 12 Dec.

Looking through several other orders, almost all are showing 2-3+ week shipping times.

Putting an order today, says 27 Dec to 9 Jan arrival.

Ordered a Christmas present off Amazon two weeks ago because it said "Arrives before Christmas". It was then shipped through USPS with a expected arrival date of 12/20, then 12/21, now it's 12/24, which is a Sunday. I'm guessing it won't show until after Christmas. USPS and Amazon tracking show different delivery stages.

I ordered 3 or 4 other items off Amazon since then and they already arrived. One of the items I wanted to finish a solar install project so I ordered it same day. It showed up the next day after 9 PM. Glad I paid $2.99 extra.

I ordered a gift. Was supposed to be here on the 15th. It was then lost in the USPS system. Get an email saying it was likely delivered on the 14th. :homer: I requested a refund yesterday since it was lost somewhere. That gets processed since it wasn’t delivered. The stupid thing shows up randomly this morning. So, now I get to deal with returning it.

I don't have prime. Past month I place orders with ETA about 5 to 6 days to get the free shipping for orders over $50. As delivery day approaches, I check order status and the ETA has magically changed to ANOTHER 10 to 12 days past the original ETA. WTF? Not isolated incidents; keeps happening with greater frequency.
