im curious on what fall rates were back then. i know my space cadet self would have probably fell to my death
Probably not that bad. They didn't start you on the big shit. They started you on the little shit. You'd break a leg falling off the little shit and they wouldn't let you and you wouldn't want to be on the big shit. The only guys up there were the ones who really knew what they could and couldn't get away with.

I have reservations all around me
I have seen about two Indians work
I do not believe you :grinpimp:
You would be mistaken. Through the 1960s definitely and very probably afterwards as well, it was well known that American Indians were the ones employed to do all of the high iron work in New York City. Now considering that that’s not exactly located near any large reservations, I speculate that they came in for the work.

Could very well be. Maybe it was that after you all poached all their fish they had to ship themselves east to build skyscrapers.

man, fuck built-up roofs

was looking at repairing a falling-in flat roof with a roofer and he was looking at the membrane roofs around with disdain, then he points at the fallen in built up roof and says "now that, that's a hundred year roof"

of course I have immediate flashbacks to being told the cedar roof on my barn "is a hundred year roof"

Yeah, with a hundred years' worth of man hours sunk into maintenance it is, but that's just twofaced salesman talk.
