Security cameras

I little more pricey than some of the options, but I have been very happy with my ubiquity system. Everything is stored locally. No monthly fees. Alerts are on point, I rarely get a false alert and it just plain works. I was sick of fighting with my cheap cobbled together system.

Same system, works flawlessly. Let's me know if anyone enters the driveway or is around there house with a pic on my phone instantly. Awesome.

All hardwired

What's a good cable what won't die after a few months. I've replaced all my cheap eBay cables at least once now.

what type of cable does somthing like this use? what are the ends called?
You are running cat6 poe cameras?

Just an example, I am not sure of this brand.
Id hit up a security equipment supplier in your area to buy some spools of cable.
My son worked for a security company for a little bit and they had a ton of partial spools they couldn't use because they weren't long enough, you might be able to buy off them for beer money.

The terminals are RJ-45 in many flavors for the correct cable used.

There are shielded and un shielded ends but IMO these cameras aren't that critical, I use regular 20 year old cat5 cable with unshielded terminals.
