Are you the guy from Eastern Ontario who has a cabin near Minaki?
I have a cottage in Minaki.
It would be interesting to see who is near.
My wife's family had a traditional 8 man sauna. I would definitely recommend over IR.
YesWere you heading home through the UP on Friday?
Right on. I was on my way up to Houghton and definitely saw you then. A friend of mine has a smaller version from the same company at his place in Grayling. Enjoy!
Same here. It's on the back covered patio. Use it quite often.I did infrared full cabinet. Did sunlighten. Just used this am
I added more heat, 4 heat lamps in a wood box with dimmer on top to run them. Just sat it on bench beside me. It will cook your guts out!Same here. It's on the back covered patio. Use it quite often.

I have not had mine for long enough yet, but wood does have its pros and cons. I dont have free amperage to run it, and I like the wood fire inside when its dark out. Kind of relaxing.I’m curious if wood heat will deter usage as you need to start a fire? I bet it will some.
Thoughts?
Anyone have one of the cheap little import ones? Can they be used inside without adding too much humidity to the house? I have a loft area in my master br that would be perfect to plop one of the little 2 person ones. Just don't want to create a moisture/mold problem.
Was it IR or electric heater for rocks and then steam on top, or just dry radiant off rocks?Buddy had a little closet type one, didn't seem to have issues with mold or moisture, but he did have an antique (read old and shitty) house, so it might have been drafty enough to not be an issue.
MTU alumni here, as are wife and kids - still spend a lot of time up in the KeweenawI'm up there often.
My son is at MTU right now and my buddy has a cabin in Hancock.

I also went to MTU, along with my son in law and his father.MTU alumni here, as are wife and kids - still spend a lot of time up in the Keweenaw
To keep in the theme of the thread - Gotta love that the Wads dorm at MTU has a sauna
Lol wut?Mine are two different rooms. No issues. Sauna is dry heat so you can’t have moisture problems. Steam room needs to be all tile.
Ran up to Baraga and picked up our new Sauna.
It was from Red.Is that from Red's? How's the build quality? I'd heard that since he and tammy got divorced the quality had gone down hill.
