Samurai leaf spring tech for 2023+

I can’t seem to find the catalogue online. They are 170/60 valving. Here’s a chart with shorter shocks, same valving.

I’ve run the Doetsch Shocks since that’s what came in my first trail-tough YJ kit a long time ago, I’ve had a few sets since. I like the ride of the bilsteins more for sure.

Wow, nice chart. That's a sweet addition to the thread.

In a separate note, I put bilsteins on my 97 F350 years ago and thought they were too soft. I'll have to look at the invoice and see what the valving was.

Also not apples to apples since the BDS leafs have a mil wrap which is holding them up higher.

I believe the others are stock YJ? Not sure.

Was hoping for about 1" lift, which I think will work out. May not be able to move my front hanger up though, at least not right now.

How have you like the new rear springs so far? Im looking at doing a spring under rear spring over front on my next samurai build. I wonder what springs would work up front with 2.5 rear YJs spring under.

I like them, they might be a bit firm, but I have shit rear shocks, which are probably the issue.

That's actually my ultimate goal as well if I don't link the front. The front leafs work well spring under but I'd like the shackles to not hang so low.

I would be hard to make it sit level without either running very flat leafs in the front, or raising the mounts one way or another. My plan is to French the rear hangers and build a new flat frame from motor mounts forward. With shackle hangers up as high as needed.
