Don’t have a savage in that model, but having the ruger American, i think if i was dealing at that price point i’d do weatherby vanguard..

I have one in 338 win mag, I hate it. More so probably due to caliber but I'm really not a fan of the trigger and its got a rubber over molding on the stock that feels like a piece of gum you pealed off the bottom of your boot. For magnum rifle It also has an extremely thin barrel profile with 1/2x28 thread muzzle brake, 3 shots and the barrel is hot. I've fed it a few different boxes and never got great results but I chalked it up to me flinching either to the recoil without the brake or the slap in the face you got with the brake on. I have it listed now for stupid cheap with little interest.
