see if Maine has any sort of Ag/forestry exemption for property taxes... may be able to lower it more.

They do. The Homestead exemption I can apply for after we have lived there a year. There is also a tree growth and a farmland exemption I am researching.

The test should just see if they can use and remove an old ratchet strap.
