I have been thinking about this for a while and there are two things that I think they should do sooner than later. One fairly straight forward right issue and the other would cause a revolt but has to happen.

First, this census bullshit with counting non-citizens has to go Jan 20th. Write up the bill, pass it and codify it. Done.

Second, and more difficult, they have to codify abortion. Select a time period whatever is somewhat agreeable with the left whether that is 10, 12, 14 weeks. Model after liberal European countries if needed. Pass the bill and codify it nationally. This goes against my "state rights" believes, even though I live in a shitty state for that. However, this issue is already legal within a few hours drive of anywhere so it's not like many abortions and being stopped.

This takes the abortion issue off the table going forward, which leaves the Dems nada to stand for openly.

I believe this is a step back a step to take 10 steps forward in the future.

I will admit I have zero emotions on abortion either way and if forced, I would say that I am more pro-choice than not...........up to a limit. Aborting viable and survivable babies is ghoulish and no civilized society should allow it legally. Basically, I don't care other than having the issue as a ball around the neck of issues that I do care about.

I'd say a LOT of project 2025 should be done. Fire every useless or redundant fed employee. Put lawmaking back in congress. End the EPA. Lots of cool shit in there. DJT said he didn't read it or know what it was. I hope he was lying or that he chooses to read it now or, at least, have it read for him. LOL.

I'd put JD in charge of investigating the executive branch management. Third party auditors to go through every form of communicaiton with an algorigthm looking for political motivations, Review the results and bring the managers in for a panel hearing on to explain their shit. Up or down vote to keep in position or promote to citizen status from the panel. Also, potentially a promote to leadership option if they called out partisan bullshit within the agency. Every agency that is in the executive branch from the ones that are not known to the military.

Agree on correcting the census.

I like abortion being a state decision.

End asset forfeiture before a conviction.

End this daylight savings time bullshit.

If I'm dreaming big, remove the income tax and institute a national sales tax.

Your solution will do nothing to stop the fight over abortion. No matter what is codified, the far left will continue to scream and demand more. It isnt so much that they want abortions, but the abortion topic is extremely difficult to argue against without losing ground, and the Dems know it, which is why they made it a center of the campaign for Kamala. No matter what you concede to, they will demand more, and call you Hitler for not agreeing with them.

It cant be solved because it is simply used as a battle tactic rather that an actual need for our county. Leave it at state level and stop engaging on that topic. JD Vance did well at avoiding the topic and more Pubs need to follow that lead. Dems will continue to use it because it is effective and a safe one for their side.

Get fuel prices back down. Bet that makes things affordable enough that people don't feel the hurt when buying groceries.

If republicans don't fix the economy over the next 4 years, all those swing voters who jumped on board might not be on board next time.
Fix California, that's why your gas prices are so high. Average here is $3.20 in CA it's $4.50.

Edit; In 1980 the national average was $1.19 which is about $4.54 in today money, so you guys are tracking, but most of the rest of the country is getting cheaper gas.

The problem isnt cheap gas. You are right, gas IS cheap. The problem is the increasing number of deflating dollars needed for each gallon. It is a currency problem.

No Income tax
abortion can be up to the individual states
2nd amendment strings-cut them Shall Not Be Infringed is pretty clear
a bill/law is one law at a time, not a 2500 page Harry Potter Novel
pass a law, get rid of a law
Public Education system needs a cleanout in a big way

Back in the 80s, when I was a fresh-faced youth discovering Ayn Rand and Limbaugh, someone put up a bill requiring every Congressman/Senator to read each bill before voting on it. It went no where. That told me a lot.

I recall fuel prices going up all over the place once Ukraine and Russia got into it and we started selling more of our oil overseas to compensate. Maybe I'm recalling wrong?

I bet that national debt might add another $8b.

And they have 2 years before midterms. It's about that time when everyone who voted for the other party realizes all the bullshit about change is just a pipe dream, and things are exactly the same. With it, comes the "midterm bloodbath", congressional gridlock, and we're right back where we started.

Same old song and dance: Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump (1), Biden, and now Trump (2). Nothing will change except the national debt, which will continue to grow.

You do have a point- Trump has about 2 years to put things in motion and then he's a lame duck having to deal with everyone else in DC figuring out who they're going to attach themselves to in 2028. Even Vance will probably be preoccupied with becoming the next POTUS rather than brokering deals for Trump.

It will be interesting to see what can be done. Personally I don't see as much doom and gloom there. If real change is being made, I bet the people will continue to support the Rs.

Trump winning really bruised your vagina didnt it?

We've had some spikes, but for the most part Diesel has stayed under $4 and gas $3.50.

Some people like borrow and spend candidates, some don't. I prefer fiscal responsibility rather than swiping America's credit card. On that premise, both choices were appaling. Hopefully Haley will run in 28 though!

-Legitimize our elections.
-Close the border and end illegal immigration for good.
-Absolutely obliterate the un-elected DC machine. All but eliminate every 3-letter agency.
-Term limits.

The rest will take care of itself

i do have to ask... why obamacare? what other choice is there for low cost health care. i dont have a fight in this because of my military insurance but i know more than a few people who benefit from it.
2nd that. Trump struggled with coming up with a better plan last time around. I'd leave it be and focus on lower hanging fruit at least to start with.

but i know more than a few people who benefit from it.
That's the problem right there, a few may benefit but at the expense of everyone else. This is straight up Socialism.

Obamacare from top to bottom was just fucked. My premiums and deductibles went through the roof, people like my sister who make very little couldn't even afford Obamacare so it actually hurt the people he said it would help.

All it helped was the very few in the lower middle class that fall in the narrow window to benefit from it, and the health insurance industry. :flipoff: Obamacare.
